I must be incredibly dense.

I am trying to put some btc into my MtGox account.  Up until now, I have not used MtGox.  I'm still waiting for a dwolla transfer initiated Friday night to clear.

I am logged in.  I go to the fund accounts page, type in a btc value and click the Send Bitcoins button.  I was expecting to get a btc address to send to.  But it just returned me to the fund accounts page.  As far as I can tell, there is nothing different.  At first I thought, perhaps it somehow manipulates your btc client to send the bitcoins, which was a disturbing thought.  But that is not the case--at least my btc client shows no changes.

I'm certain the correct answer is e-mail MtGox, which I can do, but thought I'd post on the hope that someone can point out my stupidity in missing something obvious.

If it matters, I'm using 32 bit IE 8 on a 64 bit Windows 7 machine.

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Try using a different browser. It's supposed to pop-up with a Bitcoin address.

Perfect!

I first tried turning off the pop-up blocker in IE and could see a popup flash.

Then, I tried it in Firefox and it worked.

Thanks!

A little word of advice - if you want to keep those bitcoins you bought safe, I strongly suggest forgetting about using IE

I hear you.

I normally use FireFox with NoScript and AdBlock for most browsing.  However, I have been using SandboxIE with a specific sandbox for financial institutions.  Mainly for historical reasons from years ago when FireFox wouldn't work.  I have a separate sacrificial sandbox that gets cleared regularly and never use IE unsandboxed.  This is the first time I've run into problems.

I will be re-evaluating my approach, though.

The disturbing thing is that once I logged in with FireFox, my dwolla transfer I had been waiting on was there.  I've changed my passwords on many locations and am looking to make some other changes.  It could be a fluke of timing, but it really bothers me.
