LoL! First of all Gambling is for FUN  but only people who get addicted to it make it look like a sin.

For my case based on religion

I'm born as buddha so I'm forbid to gamble.
Ofcourse on any type of gamble because it will affect on my karma & my next generation

Things are different on my cousin that born as catholic , and their parent did not forbid him to bet as he already be warned to gamble with his own risk

You are absolutely correct, as it should be done for fun, but mostly people get addicted to it and do it all the time, which should be considered a sin, because due to it, you lose everything which is not just yours, but it's for your family too...

Yeah, anything with which there is some lose or wasting of something beneficial to life is sin. In gambling when someone is addicted, he waste his/her time, money, health, property etc. If someone says that they are their own and they have the right to do what they want with it then I will say that when a time will come when you will remain with nothing, as a lot of people are then how can they redeem them back, So everything is of God and belong to God. He examine us, we have to use our money for good and have to respect the gifts of God to us and have to help the poor and needy with that wealth, Time and Health.

Yeah gambling is sin and if you are really religious and read carefully the bible you can see that gambling is sin.. not only in our religious and i think most of religious they are calling it as sin..

some country may allow people to gambling,its legal in some country,but i am sure nothing religion have allowed gambling,and its sin in every religion.

Even in catholic, gambling is a sin..But for those who are not following the rules too much, it is just fine to gamble though they know that it is a sin...So it depends upon you..But if the gambling that you are doing is against the rule of man or it is illegal, probably it is a big sin and definitely against the rule of God...

It's the same argument as "what if by kiling one guy I prevent 100 deaths?". It's still a crime and a sin.

you have a point in that but if the money you get from gambling will not be used so it is not a sin is like the money in a game just for fun and try you luck today :p so if you see like that and do it there is no sin in it.
