In some countries, it's legal while in some countries, it is not. It can definitely be considered a sin if you are investing all your money in it and committing more illegal activities to earn money from gambling.

Yeah true but that can be said that its also a sin to drink alcohol, or smoke cigarettes. I don't think in most religions its a sin except for maybe Muslims.

Ok god, I won't beat my wife in public.  Now that we're in the comfort of our home, I can beat my property without committing a sin.  But gambling?  Damn, I'm gonna feel real bad about that...

I think beating your wife is not allowed even in private by the religions and by the laws of some well developed countries, but you do not know that, In the same way it may also be the possibility that you do not know about the sin with gambling.

that has never stopped anyone from trying to gamble , especially since gambling with bitcoin was introduced it opened up a whole lot of ways to stay anonymous and still gamble even if you live in US and gambling is not allowed.

This depends mainly on your religion although all major religions consider gambling as a sin, but bitcoin has given to every user of every religion a boost to their privacy so they can gamble anonymously and conduct a normal life apparently. Still don't invest what you cannot afford to lose, don't gamble what you can't afford to lose and even the sin will be smaller this way rather than losing everything, which can be considered a major sin because of the big injustice you are commiting against yourself.

As an atheist myself I don't think the word "sin" seems fit in gambling.
There is no such ideal in testament that you can't gamble or gambling is against their will or gambling is a crime...

Gambling should rather be perceived as a game of chance, a form of entertainment.

Gambling, Betting is sin in Islam. Islam doesn't allow to Gamble . because gambling has so many bad activities also.. I don't know about other religions but in Islam it is not allowed.

Since I'm born as Religion fanatic, my parent taught me that gamble is forbidden and something I must to stay out.
But for me, gamble is objective matter that can be accept by everone's objective

Since you claiming to know Islam and I am not a religious guy although I believe in God ,so I have read quite a lot about all religions, and in Islam everything which you earn by promoting a forbidden thing, like interest, gambling, alcohol , pork meat which are all prohibited in your religion, its not OK you should stick to your signature, you are not earning haram with them.

Bible does not say or mention that it's a sin, but Bible mentioned something about love of money or greed. If it's for fun or entertainment I guess it's not considered as a sin.

I agree. Greed is a bad thing for you. Even those of us who are not reading Bible or any other religious book know that. It's hard to not become greedy if you gamble but if you managed to do that than gamble is not a sin, I guess )

Well, it's a book that is in my hometown, it explains about things that should not be done. therein is said that gambling is something that is forbidden, so I conclude it to be like that. Well, basically gambling is a game that could lead to sin, so do not even try if you have never played

In the most cases it is sin to gamble because people will get addicted to it because they think that they can earn some money with it but they are losing more money than the win actually so that is bad.
You have to be really lucky if you want to earn profit with it and that happens not often in gambling.

I always get fun every time I playing video game, but no one say it is a sin. Gambling is totally a sin if only the gamblers doing any wrong things like scamming other people, betting the amount of money they can't afford, shouting or swearing if they lose, ruining their life, etc.

Loving money is not a sin. It is the real motivation why people work so hard for it. And with money, you can reward yourself with what you want. So that is nothing wrong with it if you earn it the right way.
