Yes, gambling is a sin. But better don't think and talk about sin on gambling, gambling is for fun and no need care about the sin, but if you scare about sin and hell, better you not gambling.
Yes it is a sin because it's a vice. It involve greed because you want to take away others money as your winning. It also depends on your religious upbringing. Even a small bet can be called sin if your conscience dictates it. It's up to you if you would continue. |

Not really. Gambling should be considered as any other marketplace activities. Whether you buy shares or invest in bitcoin, it is still technically a gamble. The house is simply offering you a fair opportunity to win & lose money.
Be rational when you gamble though.

You don't have to be religious for something to be a sin dude. Well, if you are religious, you will not gambling though, because there is a rule about to not gambling. On the other hand, for people who is not religius, will easily gambling without think about sin. |

but i dont know why i still gamble, i feel this is addicting.
To me gambling is a sin but on the other hand I'm still playing for my own reason, I don't know the reason why but it's feels like there's something that I can't explain. It's fun? addicting? entertaining? etc... |

Bible does not say or mention that it's a sin, but Bible mentioned something about love of money or greed. If it's for fun or entertainment I guess it's not considered as a sin.

Yeah, it's weird. My guess is that most cases outside of muslim countries, is the result of crony capitalism. I mean, look at Las Vegas casino billionaire Sheldon Adelson who pours tens of millions of dollars into anti online gambling initiatives. Does anyone seriously think he cares about protecting gamblers, and not his empire? |

Right, because I see all religions forbid gambling and most patently prohibits gambling is islam. Because islam gives some reasons about gambling one of them because it is so detrimental to the players. |

Yes it is 100%, and it is a very bad sin, and if you are into it you should stop and get out of this game, below are some Noble Verses from the Noble Quran: "They ask thee concerning wine and gambling. Say: "In them is great sin, and some profit, for men; but the sin is greater than the profit." They ask thee how much they are to spend; Say: "What is beyond your needs." Thus doth God Make clear to you His Signs: In order that ye may consider- (The Noble Quran, 2:219)"
"O ye who believe! Intoxicants and gambling, (dedication of) stones, and (divination by) arrows, are an abomination,- of Satan's handwork: eschew such (abomination), that ye may prosper. Satan's plan is (but) to excite enmity and hatred between you, with intoxicants and gambling, and hinder you from the remembrance of God, and from prayer: will ye not then abstain? (The Noble Quran, 5:90-91)" I don't consider it a sin. This is the free world. Let people do what they want with their money and time. If you kill people it is a sin, but gambling? Greed is just a human emotion, it's can be bad, but a sin? Nope. Gambling is not a sin but if it is done out of greed then it is a sin. When your family has no food to eat because you gamble then it is a sin. When you dont give to charities but you are addicted to gambling is a sin. When you dont pray but instead gamble then it is a sin. Gambling is not a sin when its done in entertainment, not out of addiction, and not eating your allocations for your family and charity, not eating your time for God and Humanity. Its not a sin if its not too much. |

And they can be viewed in terms of the negative and positive of gambling. Because gambling is very dangerous for those who have yet to find out the positive and negative facets of gambling |

I have heard priests in my country (supposedly a catholic country but unfortunately very much away from it, ITALY) talking very hard and condemn it to the highest degree. Also every other religion beside Christianity like Islam, Jewish and all the alikes are very hard against it. So if you are a religious person, its best to stay away from gambling as in almost all bigger religions is a sin and in some of them is even considered a big sin like in Judaism or Jewish am not really that knowledgeable in this area. If you are not a religious person than nothing is a sin for you I guess so not even gambling. |
