Perhaps in some religions gambling is a sin, but I do not think so. If a person knows how to control himself, then you can play for pleasure, and if you are lucky, you can improve your financial situation.

There they can play gambling openly and they do not have any restriction for playing gambling. Islam is not allowed to play gambling it is a already sin islam don't want to make a sin because of gambling. It's a gamblers decision on what to do with his money, we have the freedom to spend what we have but we should also listen to advise from people who already experience the bad side in gambling. Discussing whether it's a sin or not will lead to a never ending discussion as everyone has it's own belief and even if those people who's in a religion where they are not allowed to gamble can still make a sin and do whatever they want.

I guess it is just very important to stay in control in gambling and never let gambling dictate you to make a sin, instead just have a fun.

Gambling is a sin or not depend on the country where you live how do you gambling, if you lost then steal money, rob bank or others, scam someone else money , that's a truely sin can't forgive . I agree, gambling won't bring any good things on us, we are just going to keep on losing if we are going to keep on trying. It is a sin without a doubt because it was written on the Bible, and the Bible doesn't lie. I know that gambling bring us fun, it is entertaining us when we are winning on it, but most of the time I'm sure we lost, so the entertainment became an addiction which is a bad thing.

Right, if we see the religions point of view, then you are explain very well. That's why mostly countries are not allow gambling and they announce it is illegal. But those countries who allow to play gambling as a legal way, they also have rules, they don't allow for kinds and teenagers, because they know that may be gambling is a sin and kinds can't handle it. But this topic has a big discussion, in short, gambling made for give us fun and entertainment, if we use gambling by this point of view, then gambling is not a sin for those people.

Gambling is a difficult issue to discuss it's a sin or not. There are always 2 sides of every single problems. The point is which side you are standing at and look at the problem. Gambling itself is not a sin however the gambler turn to be addicted become a sinner. i think its people's choice how to spend their money, we have the freedom where you want to spend it and if you become addicted it is your fault for not controlling yourself when playing. some players(just like me) are treating it as an entertainment, to kill time if bored. you dont necessarily need to use your own money because their are sites giving free btc for starter.

Bible does not say or mention that it's a sin, but Bible mentioned something about love of money or greed. If it's for fun or entertainment I guess it's not considered as a sin.

In Islam, gambling is considered a sin. But I do not think it was mentioned in the Koran. In fact, Muslims claim that it is a sin because the money you receive after you win is not your money, but your opponent's. Added to that, they think it is a sin because you do not work hard to gain these money. They think that if you want to gain money, you should work hard. Plus, it is like stealing someone's money or happiness. Put yourself in his shoe, you will feel sad when you lose your money. That is why gambling is considered a sin in Islam. And if the bible mentioned something about greed or love of money, then it will be automatically prohibited. That is how I see it. (I am not Muslim by the way.)

I dont see gambling as a sin.i see it as a way just to have fun or be entertain,  whether you are there to play or gain profit. doesnt matter if you win or lose. As long you dont hurt, decieve, taking advantage to anyone, it will not exactly be  consider as a sin.

I don't know, because i don't know how form sin. What's certain and important is i am not gamble using other people's money and money i use is my own and doesn't have potential to disrupt family's finances.

I consider all those acts that harm a person or any other human as a sin. Actually not only humans but animals also! When a person loses his wealth continuously in gambling, he will get stress which will lead him to bad wealth.

Well, I was taught from childhood, that the gambling game is a sin, so I believe it is a sin. But, all depends again on each other's stance, because the purpose of each person in playing gambling is different. Maybe that purpose makes gambling play not a sin.

Gambling can't be called sin. Even though gambling is kind of wrong but in general gambling doesn't do anything to others it just affects the person who is gambling and the owners who may earn or lose.

When we talk about sin, we must bring religion here. And do you think that the thing that sin is only a disservice to others? That's not true. Lets say that they are also a member of the said religion which do treat gambling as a sin but in reality some of them do make gamble which we cant really be avoided since gambling is just really a pure entertainment which we can able to stress out ourselves on playing it. Sin would only occur when you are already doing bad things because of too much addiction on it. We should not generally treat it as way other do treat it. Funny thing is, what you quoted is not even written on the scripture, I cannot find anything in the scripture that forbid people from gambling nor directly stating that gambling is a sin.  The great part here is that religious leader keep on saying gambling is a sin and yet when they need fund they hold a lottery, isn't lottery a gambling too?  Funny isn't it?

I agree that being greedy is even more considered as a sin. Just like the bible tells us, for the love of money is the root of all evil. And that leads us to sin, gambling is just there to give entertainment just like the other things when used it too much and we dedicated too much time to it then that leads us to sin. So being a greedy person is the real sin and not gambling alone.
