Is gambling OK? Don't bet it! There's not an easy or instantly obvious proof text answer to that question.
In my own point of view, gambling is not a sin if you can control yourself when you play and if you are not an addict in gambling because when you only play, you only play on it not making it as a hobby that will come up being addicted on it. That's why it is better to limit yourself when you are playing.

This is the best if anyone can follow this. But I am sure knowing the human and greed of money this will be not easy for those gamblers who just start for fun and since they mostly would not have that self control it would be difficult for them to quit at their ease. Because money is what changes their mind and easily get into the gambling addiction mode.

This is what usually happen even a certain gambler would set a particular limit to himself in his mind that he would stop if he is already on greens or profits but our greediness would really break those limits on which most people do really fail because of this one. Gambling isnt a sin as long you do know on what you are doing and your limitations when you engage on it.

Gambling is not a sin, but scamming is. I hope you are not scamming others to go gamble PO... You have a negative trust of 32... You for one shouldn't be asking about what is a sin and what is not.

If you set realistic targets and limits, greed is overcomed in such an instance because you  will only follow through on the plan but when  you have no plan that's when you have second thoughts about whether you can win some more or  not.

I honestly have not come across a statement in the Bible saying that gambling is a sin. Sin, as for me, is subjective and is highly dependent on ones moral upbringing. What may be acceptable to you may not be acceptable to others. That is basically it. However, I do recognize the importance of relating sin to that found in the Bible, the latter being the fundamental basis of what is right from wrong.

But in relation to where your question is leading, I think gambling, in a more general sense, is not a sin because it is part of a business's mechanism to know if you are indeed profiting. Otherwise stated, you gamble by investing a certain amount on the premise that your investment will grow within your desired time.

Bible does not say or mention that it's a sin, but Bible mentioned something about love of money or greed. If it's for fun or entertainment I guess it's not considered as a sin.

Yeah it was not stated on the Bible. But bible says that money is the root of evil. Thats why don't you think that gambling is the beginning to have a big interest in money, to be greed on it, to love money more than anything.?
I am not agree that it is just for fun because I know at the end of the day it is all about to earn more money.

What isn't?
Everything is about money.
Cmon, lets be honest here, sell everything you have, go to chirch and give them all your money - I am sure they will accept it and mention you next Sunday. But church have right when saying money is root of evil, it is a fact.

It depends on how you see the world, for me everything is just plain grey. For some people there are some white and black area. If you see the world as black and white then you are going to see it as a sin. For me I dont really care about that because no matter how good we are in avoiding it, we will still keep on doing some sin in the end

it won't be a sin if you get addicted to gambling for as long as you use your own money in gambling and you will not make any stupid things just to make money for you to use in gambling.

I think the OP even wanted to know whether the act of gambling in itself is a sin and niot gambling addiction and by that i'd say it is in bad taste but i don't know if it constitute a sin and the concept of sin is actually a broad subject.

Gamble is not really just focusing on the the casual gambling game itself but there are decision in life that do really needed to be gambled for you to earn something which means its not totally a sin because you are accepting the risk to earn something the thing here is that you should really have the control of yourself and you are prepared on the possible circumstance ahead regarding in your decisions have been made.

Whether gambling is a sin depends on your own morals. For me I see nothing wrong with gambling I gamble for fun not profit. I can see how some cultures can see gambling as a sin as there are problems associated with it that can affect people and the people about them.

That's true it depends on how you'll take things deep or light. When we gamble and we don't intend to hurt other feelings then that is just fine and you are not robbing others money then that's going to be a good thing as a gambler.

Gambling is not a sin that's because gambling is an entertainment that lets people have fun and enjoy themselves, people think gambling is a sin and its not okay that's because they always think that gambling and greed are the same things. Greed is a sin which people thinks that every time you gamble you are doing a sin, but it doesn't work like that some people just gamble for fun or for entertainment. They don't associate it with bad things or do bad things that's because they are just trying to have fun. Greed is the on to blame on because sometimes people get too cocky and when they win they will play more and more until they will lose all of their winnings, that's greed and people should understand that.

If that's the actual purpose then I can agree with you that gambling is not a sin, sometimes families use this habits as a bonding activity
I seen some father and son played together inside a cockpit arena enjoying shooting with their fighting cock, well its really the countries
culture and how a person treated gambling.

Considering gambling itself for those people who believe it is a sin because it feel like robbing money from other people.
I mean you take the other people money when you wager and won it as in the other side there is someone who lost at the same time.
If you don't believe in that kind thought and just feel it fine then it is okay.

So let's rephrase this question.

Does the omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient deity think it is wrong for you to gamble, despite predestining it via his omniscience, allowing it despite his omnipotence, and observing it via his omnipresence?

A being you think created the universe, wove the fabric of space and time, and wrote the cosmic laws which govern the universe..... You want to know whether such an entity cares about what you do with your money?

What a ridiculous question.

In some religion gambling is consider as a sin, So it will be consider as sin if you even playing it for entertainment or enjoyment. If you are putting money there then you are comitting a sin. But still in some religions it is not consider as a sin. In my religion gambling is consider as a sin.

Well, i think that is such a simple questions that needs a simple kind of explanation. looking out if it is sin maybe it barely have both side of view, a sin from peoples law and a sin from god therefore if the government doesn't allow that kind of gambling then it obviously you have committed a sin againts the law of land. Speaking of a sin to God then maybe there is no sin to gamble unless you cheat and make everyone suffers because of your greed to gamble.
