The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

i don't consider the price going up $25 in a short time to be a bubble. if it went up to $800-$900 right now after sitting under $400 just a few hours back, then it would be completely different. right now the price is recovering to its normal price level. it was about to happen and many people were expecting it to happen within this month, and it did.

The price flash crashed 60 dollars last Friday. This was a recovery/correction.

A bubble is what happened the first week of november...approximately 250 spiking to 500.

looks to me that we're just in the middle of recovering from the panic selling a week ago.

Yes, that's bitcoin.  How long have you been following the price?  Back in 2013 when we hit $1200, the price swings could take your breath away.  The fluctuations you're talking about are only sort of big and not really surprising either.  We were at $450 last week.  So I would say just hodl.

Pump maybe but not a bubble.

Pump maybe but not a bubble.

it is not a pump nor a bubble, as others mentioned before it is just a correction. every time a big change happens -like the ~$50 sudden drop- the price goes back to its normal stage after a short while. #backontrack

p.s. hodl at least until the halving

It is definitely not a bubble.

Perhaps the run to 1200 was premature.  But I wouldn't call what happened even then a bubble.  "Bubble" implies that there is little inherent value to the object of speculation.

It is likely a good time to buy, not sell.

BTW, I don't think the halving will be a big driver of value.  There are other drivers that are more important in my view.

maybe it happened a bit too fast, that i might agree on, but we also went fast from $420 to below $360. i find this to be a recovery to the normal/fair price level that perfectly reflects the current situation and sentiment of bitcoin. let's see where it goes from here.

I would still expect at least one big swing back (minimum). Even if the price does settle around about what it is now at the end of the day

i don't believe you're aware that this is not a bubble and it's just a price recover, selling now after a great panic sell has stopped and it's now heading to the previous point, is simply asking to how to lose your money

any intelligent trader now that the real target is 500, so everything in this range is cheap profit, to buy without thinking

This is by far not a bubble. I think you have to look up the definition of what a bubble is online to see what it really means. It's recovery. That's it.

It is waited such post from you only if your age in bitcointalk is the same with your age with the met with bitcoin. So, if you have few time with bitcoin everything you write have meaning and need answer to make you learn something very important. The most primary characteristic of bitcoin is that, is true that bitcoin is to volatile but even unpredictable. So it is true that "he" go up and down but never in the order wanted from the speculators. He can stay at the same price or move within a few interval in which don't worth to speculate with it for a very long time (like "he" did all the last year until November) or go for a long time with few steps only high or only down. So it will be hard for a speculator to know if it would be worth for him to wait to speculate with it. To not tell that even can have loss (to sell not at the wanted price because annoyed from long waiting time or the lost of hope that will arrive wanted by him). That doesn't at all that cannot be even the classical pump and dump. But this cannot be never sure thing.

Bitcoin is just recovering from the dip. I wouldn't call this a bubble just yet.
I would if the price would go up to $500 today.
Glad to see bitcoin recovering so quickly.
