Most people I've spoken about bitcoin to in real life think it's too risky (for them) to invest in, a scam or something criminals use.

That or they're too dumb or too scared to get involved in.

We need a lot more user adoption to really make some serious money.

They usually think nothing, they maybe heard about it, but don't think it as something real because it is decentralized and not tangible, and is used only by nerds and criminals

Drugs and child porn.  That's what people not familiar with bitcoin think about it, at least in my experience.  And there was some bullshit publicity about ISIS or Al Queda using it.  What most people are unaware of is how many fucking degenerate gamblers and small-time scammers are using it to fuel their dark desires.  And some people make t-shirts with bitcoin as a theme and then there are the computer geeks.  The media rarely reports the real uses.

My friends and some people I know told me,
that bitcoin is some kind of a scam and it is very risky.
They even warned me to stay away with it.
Even I already explain to them what bitcoin really is.
They just close their minds to the new opportunity given them.

The average people probably heard about bitcoin in the context of Silk Road seizure, so they'd associate bitcoin with drugs and illegal stuff.

Also here's a direct link to the Youtube video if you don't feel like going to OP's website.

where I live, regular people who doesn't know what bitcoin is or how it works place it on the same table with those pyramid schemes. some of them actually think of it as some sort of game currency that can be traded with real money.
those who understood what bitcoin is are either don't care about btc or trying their hardest to get more btc.

btw OP are you trying to promote your site or what?

Well geeze man, the way you said that does indeed make bitcoin look like some type of scam.  Bitcoin, or any other crypto for that matter, really is not and shouldn't be considered a "get rich quick scheme".  It's a experimental and revolutionary new form of money, and should be considered just an experiment.  People will probably get very butt hurt if bitcoin goes down to below $100, or something like that, but the fact of the matter is that you are getting you're worthless Fed notes based on nothing, and switching them out for digitalized coins based on mathematics.  Pretty cool if you ask me...

And sure, having the price sky rocket is a nice bonus... that just allows us to purchase more things with our bitcoins (at the few shops on the internet and even fewer physical stores that accept them).

But just getting other people into bitcoin for the sake of having our stash accumulate more value in fiat makes it look like you're trying to get them into some kind of ponzi.

I have talked about bitcoin with most of my friends, and I have realized that in my country there is a great misinformation about the bitcoin concept and its ecosystem, and when someone has a little idea about it, it is generally an erroneous idea.

They think what press and media tells them about bitcoin, assuming they even know what Bitcoin is. Currently, that the big news is that bitcoin "failed", unfortunately. Add to this many past news about bitocin being used for buying drugs, laundering money, being a scam, non-regulated, etc, and the general picture of bitcoin looks not attractive at all for a regular non-geek or tech-savvy people.
