just wondering if anyone knows what the transaction times are these days. I sent a small amount if bitcoin a few months ago and it went through pretty fast. Now I sent one today and just shows unconfirmed in  blockchain.info and 0% .  Is this just me and today or is this normal now ?

They're instant, like they've always been.

The inputs are small or you included a small fee.

More info on fees here

Well there are more TX awaiting a confirmation than a few months ago (depends on when exactly), yes. If you let us know the TX ID we might be able to tell you more.

Im not really here, its just your imagination.

The higher the transaction fee you pay , the faster your transaction will get confirmations, but there's also the block generation time that needs
to be factored in. I usually set normal transaction fee recommended, and get confirmations pretty fast, didn't notice any larger delays.
If you sent with 0 fee, that's gonna be a big problem tho.

I did not choose the fee or know how to. I only sent BTC a few times. Its been about 8 hours now and yes it turns out the fee is like .0001 btc..

Is there a way to cancel it or re do it with another few cents for the fee ?

What wallet are you using or what service did you use to sent the coins?
It's always better to wait for your first transaction to confirm instead of going for other methods if you don't know what you're doing.
It's too late to do anything about your unconfirmed funds anyways.

did you read my post, it says blockchain.info and I said I sent btc in the past. I was just wondering if service times changed since I last sent it in fall 2015, when it went through fast.

You can rebroadcast the transaction manually but it depends what clients you are using. It is too complex.  Or the most easy way is that you have to wait it get confirmed or it get dropped by the network (mempool). But why not share you tx with us? We can tell you how to do.

yes, it is showed at https://blockchain.info/tx/0ce705f772623dcde5baed21b3148a5bc10d0b6c25426533a281a53ad030e3dd
But I cannot find this tx in another block explorer, like blocktrail! It has been 13 hours! It is weird! Probably this tx is dumped by some nodes! What clients are you using? Some wallets will rebroadcast the tx if it hasn't been confirmed!

try to close your wallet - let the wallet forget the tx (wait 1 day) and it will update to the status of blockchain after updating again.

If you're using blockchain, I'm sure that you're send the fund using custom payment with custom fee.
It means that you're pay the fee's transaction quite low. But don't worry, your transaction will still be process & will not lost or dissappear.
