Can bitcoin rise up to 800$ this year ?

Yes we are gonna make the 800 dollar this year without any doubts, its just a matter of time before this is gonna happen in my eyes.

Don't think so. I see $500-600 as an absolute top of the price this year, provided there is nothing else apart from halving. If we have new developments that will help the adoption, e.g., agreement on the block size, then it is another ball game.

I am pretty sure there will be a price increase this year as result of the block halving, only not as much as some people here are thinking. If we can maintain a price above $500 for the rest of this year then it can be seen as a good thing.

I am pretty sure there will be a price increase this year as result of the block halving, only not as much as some people here are thinking. If we can maintain a price above $500 for the rest of this year then it can be seen as a good thing.

Yes hopefully it will happen because if it happens we will benefit. But I think the rise in prices in bitcoin requires a process and I think this year has not been reached, may be achieved in 2017 ahead. But we will see what will happen because this is my estimate.

i suggest that during this halving the prise will reach $800 and continues to grow such that the price value in 2017 can touch $1000. this is my assumption and i hope this will happen in near future to benefit all the users.

A few days later when there was an efficient rise in the price of bitcoin I also starting to think that the price will touch the value of $1200 sooner in the mid of this year when halving will occur but now the fall of price and stopping at $443 is making it strange.

Im believe that we will hit 800 value in this year because we see that more  store are accepting bitcoin as payment month by month.. just like steam they are now accepting bitcoin as payment thats why the price is increased fast..

Yes, if the halving came good and the price of bitcoin continued to increase with a much faster speed then definitely the price will reach to $1000 or will cross even that amount. But if there were the drops like yesterday then it will be difficult to see it.

Way too optimistic in terms of looking at the price appreciation during the halving. I'm not quite sure what your reasons are for believing such a thing will happen, but I refuse to believe that the halving would make the price go above... (let me give you a small victory) $700. There will be a change, that is true, but there will still be plenty of dumping and probably just as much demand. The intake of bitcoins would be cut in half, but the overall supply won't differ too much until a while later. Perhaps then you would start to see remnants of an increase, but still not doubling.

My guess is the following scenario:

- May: slightly bullish, up to ~ 500, then a little backfall to 475-80.
- June: speculation on the halving event takes us at least to $600.
- July: The bubble will reach its peak. In this month, $800 are possible. But I don't expect much more. It's not so easy than 2013 to move the price, and there is no "Willy" this year, sorry
- August-October: Price will go back to $500-600 and stay there, with relatively high volatility and some bullish and bearish spikes. If it doesn't fall below the actual level ($400-450), then the general view of the rest of the year will be slightly bullish.
- November-December: Sideways movement, volatility declining, about $550-650.

Probably not, highest might be 600$ but I'm not sure if even that's a stretch.
