My BERN wallet is also not syncing properly. i cannot move my coins from cryptopia to somewhere else ?

Hello.

Sorry you are having difficulties. Are you running the latest version, version 1.3?

Syncing does take some time and does require some patience. Could you please verify you are running version 1.3 (Help -> About BERN)? If so, allow it to run its course to fully sync. If it appears to be stuck at a block for a long time (half hour), restarting it will get it moving again. Again, it requires patience, a great deal sometimes. I apologize for this, but is the case.

Alternatively, you can move your BERN from Cryptopia to a BERN paper wallet. These links may be helpful: http://bern.cash/how-to/what-is-a-paper-wallet/ and when you want to import from your paper wallet, http://bern.cash/how-to/what-is-a-paper-wallet/import-paper-wallet/ may be informative.

Again, sorry you are having difficulties.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.
Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction.

so Cant it be listed on some other exchange ?

Yes, but it is not that simple. We do not just tell an exchange to list us. Usually they will require a payment.

As of the time of this writing, I have yet to receive a response to my letter from Cryptopia. Let's see how it plays out. If need be, which it may, we will explore our oprions as a community.

If you have yet to make a support ticket at Cryptopia, please do. They need to know users (not just the dev) want the listing retained. Thank you in advance and thank you if you already have.

Cryptopia responded. They said the decision was final and there is nothing we can do to retain the listing. January 10th, 2019 the BERN wallet at Cryptopia goes offline.  Angry

Does anyone in the community have a recommendation for an exchange? Perhaps novaexchange? Of course, we will have to raise any listing fees.

They have their BERN wallet in maintenance. I don't know how long it has been in maintenance mode. I will contact them and see if I have any luck getting them to address their software.

i would definitely park at coinexchange.io, accurate and efficient,
but this may turn harder than expected

I have submitted a coin addition request at coinexchange.io as of now. I will relay any response I receive to the BERN community.

Coinexchange.io quoted us 2 BTC for listing. Far out of the realm of my personal budget.

What do you mean? ...

Does it not state there in the post that the non-reg CWI Citrine pool is active and running and you CAN mine there?

http://citrine.chainworksindustries.com - is our new non-reg pool. It is just the MPOS Branch that has been taken out of the Production Servers. Citrine IS the Production Mine that will stay and grow.

It is quite easy to mine there also. Depending on what miner you have, it is just a matter of adding the stratum address (currently stratum+tcp://citrine.chainworksindustries.com/), then the port (3933 for Bern), username and password.

For example if using ccminer under my username (wallet address) would be - ccminer -o stratum+tcp://citrine.chainworksindustries.com:3933/ -u <walletaddress> -p <anything you want - preferably c=bern> -a x14

ASIC would be very similar.

If there are any issues, let us know, but so far a few of you are mining there without a problem. If you have any other questions, please ask. We are all here to help if you are still new to this.

That is cheap compared to others ...

Such a waste with all these exchanges charging so much for the listing, only to have them delist if volume isn't kept. Absolutely a rip off in my books.
