This doubling time was forced.
Your friends investments will be doubled now as following:
1. if invest sum >= 0.1, then 70 hours
2. if invest sum < 0.1, then 60 hours

It's really hard to double in 48 hours, we can run out of funds and bankrupt, but we don't want that
