well, $2400 for 10TH/s with power consumption of 2600 W.
more expensive than 2x Antminer S7 which has similar hash power.
Rest of cost remind same-psu, duty tax , postage.

But S7 can have in few days, but this one, probably in few months.
July is coming with halving...no chance anyone will buy this...and most important-if its true Smiley

Small deployment they said was slated for December this year give or take a month or 6.
Kudos for the presentation, alas far from complete with no prototype available just a render.

So LK Group broke up and seems BW is trying to mend the wounds?  ( They sounded a little discontented about the operations at LK - Could be a bad sign but hopefully not.)

Still adviseable like always to wait for more info.

They list power consumption in video as .18 W - .36 W/GH .  I really want to know more about that.  Not sure what to expect with that range.   They do mention 260 Watt/T.

Exciting to see possibly a new miner, but I still want to know more.  And really want to see one in action.  There was possibly a prototype on the desk of first guy, could not tell 100 percent.

OP are you able to say when "soon" is?  Weeks, Months?

I was not quite sure... i was hoping maybe a prototype but after you said it that does look a awful lot like a old avalon.

I hope they do a second video and show chip.  And think video is old?   Watching it a second time it seems like they talk about December as in future.

I could have sworn I saw this video around the beginning of December, so I think they're talking about last month, not a year from now.

I wish they would tell me more to make me excited about this miner - to me it feels like a big "meh"... For being 14nm, it doesn't seem to buy anything that substantial over the 28nm BM1385... Of course if we're comparing hardware we can't buy, then none of these compare to the BitFury stuff.   It also would be interesting to know how the configuration of the device changes with those steps from 3 to 5 to 10.

I also agree with someone elses comment - hard to imagine it's anywhere near production when all they're showing is a rendering on the screen.

The video is quite old and the full version has been on the BW website since late November 15.

Also we don't really need a new thread all the discussion on 51ASIC and their high prices etc can be found here.

True but as we can see the price per gigahash is now half of what it was from that thread.
