YoBit are scammers. There is a particular case where they are still listing an old fork of a coin which is essentially worthless. The only people that buy into it are people who are not aware of it because it uses the same name. They are not to be trusted and I would never ever leave my funds on their wallets, NEVER.

If you still use Yobit you should consider moving on to other exchanges.
Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.
Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction.

I remember when I started on here, YoBit was a big company at the time - still as shitty as before with its support and the amount of shitcoins on it but it was still big with a MASSIVE SIGNATURE campaign presence on here (even if they were a spammy sig campaign, kinda matched the company)

Does anyone know if they're still around and trading? And if so, if they're doing good as an trading network these days.
Luckily they are still alive and kicking as of now which they do continue on their signature campaign and the service that they do give into its traders which there are still new coins being listed on the site.Yobit is indeed famous on those previous years have passed until now the reputation does remain specially on its support which do really sucks bigtime but still I'm sure there are people who do make use of the site and I don't know whats the thing that keeps them coming back.

Yobit does have a lot of scam coins in their exchange and i am sure they are ones who come up with those coins and hype them in the chat section and then dump when people invest in it and that coin is dead and they will move into a new one and this is happening for a long time.

Even segwit 2x already cancelled so that coins just issued by the yobit exchange itself, and what a shame with that shitcoin. Yobit try to take the advantages from the segwit2x of bitcoin cancelation.
But looks another like hitbtc still didn't erase it.

Thats why we should never ever listen on those people who are telling shills on the trollbox specially on yobit because you would only lose up money when you tend to buy those coins because once they dump then for sure you cant do anything about it and one thing i do observe on that exchange is that there are lots of bots who do pump and dump such shitcoins. One glimpse you would possibly lose it all. There are lots of shitcoins on there thats why i dont trust them and long time ago i do move in more reliable exchange than on this one.

I see one email from Coinbase stating that segwit2x project is still taken in the hand by the few peoples.
Are they taken that as they thinking that is the right path and goes to wrong way to issuing shitcoin.
But I don't know after the long period in the trading side still many scam report about Yobit around the forum. What their support team doing instead of looking this out.

I love Yobit, they provide fast buy sell order. They also have investment program, dice. Really good exchange.
Wait until they show you the other side of them. To answer the OP question first, yes, a lot of naïve and gullible people are still making use of the exchange.

I say gullible because everything about the exchange speaks a lot of worries and any smart person should better not leave what they cannot afford to lose on Yobit. They are always after profit and most times even at the detriment of users with such a shitty support which we all know that is important in a place you are keeping your funds.

Yeah, only the newbie ones are using Yobit because it is one of the most easy and friendly to use and to trade very easily, i have to admit that i used YoBit on the past when i was just starting at trading.
And i remember that i spent more than 0.01 bitcoins on their Dice (bitcoin was below $500 anyway) but it was a good experience, now it is a shitty exchange who is full of bugs, nobody diserves to waste their time in this platform, because it is a garbage at the moment.

you have make good statement first on yobit then suddenly drop them down.

I still uses yobit for exchange and trouble is normal in all of exchange site but what matters is they dont scam your funds.so better say no bad about yobit because this is a free community and averyone deserves to be on what they wanted to

I'm still using Yobit for a low investment. I ride with their shitcoins and get out when I take 40-50% profit. I didn't experience what other saying that they are having problems on withdrawals. Yobit is the place og garbage coins, but still there is money in that that garbage. Cheesy Just trade with caution, short time trade. Then transfer to big exchanger.

Only for a smaller amount of my bitcoins and buying some of the coins I am using that exchange but for high amount of bitcoins and for good amount of trade I do not use yobit because they are famous for many shady activities and I do not want to lose my money. It is true that they were have a massive signature campaign but it is not compulsory that if someone have a massive signature campaign then they will be honest.

Most people complain about Yobit because certain coins are under maintenance, and in some cases for a very long time, meaning that they in most cases wait for the developers behind these coins to fix whatever needs to be fixed, or Yobit just doesn't care. People making use of Yobit to invest in these shitcoins have no right to complain in this case. If you buy yourself into shitcoins, you have to accept the common problems tied to these coins, and if you don't want to deal with these problems, then don't buy these shitcoins. If people stick to the higher tier altcoins on their platform, they don't have to go through any difficulties....

It because their coins are the least priority of yobit. I've been into yobit for trading those top coins and never had any single problem with them. Sometimes they are closing or freezing withdrawals it's either there is an ongoing maintenance or the hot wallet for that coin is empty.

we all know that yobit has a shitty support/shitcoins/many wallets on maintenance but you guys gotta admit it has the best UI ever ! i mean it's really easy to use for newbies at least it was easy for me back in the days Cheesy, i also remember all those pumps and dumps and the endless chat spamming.. yobit is like adrenaline rush you have to chose your coin wisely and know exactly when to enter and exit.
I'm still using yobit now though the volume increased a lot than the before. so yeah i think it's still good for newbies and pro traders as well

Yes, I am never comfortable with this exchange, in terms of securities and the way they do things as what they are just after is the money instead of reputation, and they can list anything as long as they get paid. However, based on what you have said, I would not call them scammers because of that.

Anyone who enters the trading market should know that information and trading are like brothers and sisters and you cannot do one without the other. Therefore, even if you want to make use of the exchange, you should know better the coin you want to trade. That is not Yobit's job as far as I am concerned.

That is where they really missed their road. However, this has not stopped people from using this exchange which is the funniest part. It is worth questioning when you just accept all Tom, Dick and Harry into your exchange, which means it as a result of you caring less as long as you get paid for it.

As far as I am concerned, not just Yobit, but in every exchange, one just have to be careful not to put in what you cannot afford to lose even when you feel you have to trade much to earn much. Yobit though, is one of the last on the list of exchanges I will ever trade.

I am surprised it is still being traded not just on Yobit but HitBTC. However, I won't blame the exchanges in this case anyway, probably; I would rather blame the people trading them. Trading is a risk and if you cannot do enough diligence to know what you are holding or buying, then it is the call of the person in question who states himself as the trader and not these exchanges. All the above, this does not still remove my doubts on these exchanges, most especially Yobit. And as long as it is full of shitcoins, then that makes it a shitty exchange.

Unfortunately, even the trusted exchanges are also showing their true colors these days.

Bittrex for example has been known to lock accounts of unverified users without prior notice. A lot of people are complaining and I am not seeing anything done. At the end, as long as we do not have control over our funds with these exchanges, then we are not safe.
