225+ BTC DONATED LAST 14 HOURS
100+ BTC DONATED LAST 04 HOURS
LISK ICO HAS 134 HOURS TO GO

and what exaclty is stopping MS (a major software developer) to come up with their own coin/system instead of picking some open source newbie coin?

I was also thinking about this for a while, but I think mayor companies (Microsoft, Google, Amazon) don't want open sourced decentralised crypto projects because they can go lead a life of it's own, they can't be regulated. And potentially damage the brand name.

If they don't jump on the bandwagon now, then they will become IBM in the age of Micro Computers. Blockchain will kill major companies that are blinded by their own bureaucracy and inability to be flexible If MS is smart, they are changing their mind and betting on opensource blockchain just my opinion

this useless azure hype is getting out of hand.
You think so? MILESTONE ALERT: THE LISK ICO HAS SWITCHED FROM ROCKET TO WARP DRIVE
300+ BTC DONATED LAST 14 HOURS
180+ BTC DONATED LAST 04 HOURS
LISK ICO HAS 134 HOURS TO GO Gee I wonder where all that BTC came from?? lol...*cough ETH DUMPS cough* - Of course you'll see a spike with freshly made btc incoming from a "connected" coin. It's not everyday traders going in it's whales to manipulate LISK the same way they did/do ETH. Don't get me wrong, I really like what MS and Azure and all that other tech stuff is promising, it's just all talk re. implementation with these crypto coins, there is nothing even substantially concrete yet to justify this much btc into it yet. If you argue this point you're either dumb or just a blind follower. But hey good for you if you rode the backs of the real whales pumping ETH (and possibly LISK). Canabanana makes a decent point in general though yes.

Congrats everyone, I am very happy that Lisk is going to work together with the Azure project. Since the day I saw this topic I knew I had to invest in it, so I am lucky I believed in this since day 1 This is already the last week and people who buy in now don't get any bonus anymore. It will be interesting for me to see how much people will buy in the last week. Also Indeed the next step is getting mainstream adoption , I already tried my friends but it's hard

I understand the value and importance of a decentralised blockchain. But the most important blockchain > Bitcoin is becoming more and more centralised.
I could assume a centralised GoogleChain with it's own mega servers can do IOT/dapps jobs. The masses would be fine with that I think.
I could be wrong ofcourse...

I already invested in this but plannig to invest quite a bit more once funds are cleared up. It's going to be close to the 21st. If I miss this, I assume there is no grace period to jump in? I should be fine!!

Agree! This is why I would suggest to create a bounty pool for interested developers. If a dev has a good idea then he may apply for a bounty. Without any real world applications, I don't think Lisk will surpass Ethereum. We need a good idea of how a Javascript application can be useful as a DApp.
Is there any specific documentation on traditional apps vs DApps?
Yes of course, lisk can't even surpass ethereum but (maybe) can create something similar. However the people are investing because they want to double (or x3) their investment, most of them don't care about the 'technology' behind it. if we hype further some will sell for 50% as well...

Hello, First of all. The project looks great and all the best. I had a query regarding the pre-sale agreement. (Not sure if it has been already answered). In the https://ico.lisk.io/presale.pdf document I found the following clause. 2.1 Purchase. You agree to purchase and we agree to sell, on the terms set forth herein, your Resulting Distribution. Your purchase paid with BTC is final. We will not provide any BTC refund of the purchase price under any circumstances. Purchases with XCR can be refunded until the 1st May 2016. Only the exact amount of XCR used to purchase LISK can be refunded. Does this mean, people who purchased with XCR can get a refund even after the launch of tokens ? That would rather be unfair I thought.

They have more than enough resources for all this themselves internally
