I hope someone can help me. Just bought some lisk and moved it over to my wallet.

I've cast my votes over to 5 delegates. However the forging status, is that because I'm no delegate?

basically, to enable forging you need:

1) install a lisk node on a linux machine;

2) login into the local node lisk web ui (or even on https://login.lisk.io), register a delegate name (cost 25 Lisk; go to "forging", "delegate registration");

3) login into the lisk web ui of your local lisk node (http://localhost:8000) , enable the forging by the web ui (forging --> forging ON) (or by api call https://github.com/LiskHQ/lisk-wiki/wiki/Lisk-API-Reference, or by editing config.json file https://github.com/LiskHQ/lisk-wiki/wiki/Configure-Lisk#2--forging);

4) once forging is enabled, your delegate name has to be voted by the lisk community, considering that it will start to actively forge only when it will reach at least the 101 position, who now requires about 10,2M of voting weight;

5) last but not least, you have to stay in touch with the whole lisk community and with Lisk HQ to keep costantly your forging node updated.

take a look at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1346646.msg18502957#msg18502957 where you can find too more info about a larger number of delegates who are actually sharing part of their forged lisk. Besides, it is a good idea, to vote too for some delegates who have a good productivity and that make a lot of efforts to help the lisk ecosystem to grow. For example, phoenix1969 is very active in this chat since the ico times, having spent a lot of his resources for the growth of lisk. The same some others delegate like cc001, gr33ndrag0n, phinx, redsn0w, gregorst and others... Search for them in this forum thread or on lisk forum

I can't work well without two monitors, imo its essential for developing good software and being productive - It's great to have your code on one window and the application or a website on another window, I usually have a 3rd screen for conference calls and emails too...
