what do you think about this?

Quote
Vote weight = ADM / Votes,
Where Vote weight is the value of the wallet’s vote, ADM — the number of ADM tokens on this wallet, Votes — the number of votes of this wallet.
Suppose Bob has 100 coins, Alice has 80. Bob votes (delegates influence) for Bill and Helen, and Alice for Mark. Since Bob votes for two delegates, his vote is 100/2, that is, 50. Then Bill and Ellen have the following impact on the blockchain: 100/2 = 50, and Mark — 80. That is, Mark’s influence is greater than that of Bill and Helen. In the case of Lisk’s dPoS, Bill and Helen are more influential (100) than Mark (80), and that is unfair.

hahahahahaha. what is that? another dead lisk fork? good luck with this.  Grin Grin Grin

i am not talking about the project. i wanted to let you know about the DPOS change they made.

I'm pretty sure Ark uses the same way of calculating votes. I have no idea how well it works for them, though. But in theory, I think it is a good idea. Maybe I'm missing something critical, but it sounds like it solves at least some of the centralization problems.

Sounds promising, looks like there are some uses for Lisk in the pipeline - the incubator should really help get some things moving with the community

Any plans for another incubator in Europe or America?

I think it more fair. If you have about 1% of supply (I assume the number of active delegates is 100) you can become a new active delegate.
But in the Lisk you don't. The Lisk system affected by the cartels and it's more centralized. And if you want to become an active delegate you either have to buy up about a quarter of the Lisks (is ridiculous) or negotiate with existing groups.
These are not the worst groups, they share a reward, conduct some kind of activity. But it's unfair from my point of view and prevents entry of new investors who want to become active delegate.
I now participate in the project where are the same system as you mentioned above: 1 coin = 1 vote. In terms of money it's more honest.

Hello everybody.
John_Muck, a mod from the Lisk Subreddit here.
On the subreddit I post a daily Lisk highlights post during the working week and a highlight recap of the week every Saturday.
Here are the highlights and interesting items from yesterday on the Lisk reddit sub and beyond.....

📌  Lisk featured on the Bloomberg news service! Bloomberg BNA (Bureau of National Affairs) which covers legal, tax, regulatory, and business information for professionals spoke recently to two members of the Lisk/Lightcurve team. Andries Bellemans, HR manager at Lightcurve, spoke about how "There are simply not enough qualified people to match the growing demand for blockchain developers", and how "Demand isn’t limited to blockchain developers as growth in this industry also extends to marketing, design, and operations".  Jacob Kowalewski, Education lead of Lisk Academy had this to say... ""as the need for blockchain developers increases, the onus will be on grassroots blockchain organizations to initiate and execute educational initiatives to ensure the industry continues to grow". To read more from the article titled "Will Talent Scarcity Stop Companies From Seizing Blockchain’s Potential" you can click here....... https://www.bna.com/talent-scarcity-stop-b73014477737/

📌  Lisk USA have released another informative report! This weeks installment contains the latest development updates, LiskHQ member Shusetsu Toda’s JavaScript blog post, the Lisk Houston Blockchain meetup and a newly released tool by the developers of Lisk.support. You can read all about these stories and much more in The State of Lisk Report – Ep. 11 which you can find here...... http://www.liskusa.io/the-state-of-lisk-report-ep-11/

📌  Lisk focused incubator accepting project applications! Following its launch on July 7 in Xiamen, China, the Lisk-focused blockchain incubator known as Elite Center is now seeking projects who are interested in joining them The initial investment into the incubator will be $1 million, and Elite Center hopes to nurture at least five projects through the incubator within six months of the release of the SDK. The Elite delegate sponsored incubator already has two projects in mind.  If you have a project and are interested in joining the incubator, you can contact Elite Center at aslan@elitecenter.io with an introduction and overview of your project’s goals and needs. More details on this great development to aid the Lisk project can be found here..... https://blog.lisk.io/introducing-elite-center-the-worlds-first-lisk-incubator-e8d7abb26b5

📌  Lisk Trading analyst says "Lisk BUY ZONE for HODLERS"! Could this be true? The following trading analysis from https://www.tradingview.com/u/wticlul/ on tradingview.com included his comment, "this is so obvious so I will just leave it here and say nothing, Lisk/USD is also in the buy zone (88.6% Fib) ". See the analysis here...... https://www.tradingview.com/chart/LSKBTC/IqNQhwXC-LSK-Lisk-BUY-ZONE-for-HODLERS , but remember it is not investment advice, just simply the opinion of one observer, wticlul.

That's it for today's highlights.

If you have tips on stories or videos related to Lisk, blockchain, Javascript etc. then send me a private message with your news on these bitcointalk forums or through the private message system on reddit.... https://www.reddit.com/message/compose/?to=John_Muck and I will consider it for my daily post.

On the subreddit I post a daily Lisk highlights post during the working week and a highlight recap of the week every Saturday.
Here are the highlights and interesting items from yesterday on the Lisk reddit sub and beyond.....

📌  Lisk "Create the Future" video airs on US TV! Do you remember the Lisk "Create the Future" promo video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rTgAC-XTInI ) that was released the night of the Lisk relaunch? Well,  Fox29 viewers in San Antonio, Texas got to see that self same video during the same time slot that the NFL is aired on during the football season. The video was shown as a commercial during the broadcast of a show called "Crypto Cafe", and it has now been funded to air for the next eight weeks . Those lively Lisk Delegates [bloqspace.io (on behalf of the Lisk community) were behind the placement of the commercial. Starting next week, the Lisk sidechain project, BrikBit, will also have its own commercial air on the show as well. You can see Bloqspace's tweet on the whole promotion here.... https://twitter.com/BLOQspace/status/1021494109754810370
Keep pushing Bloqspace, you are doing great work.

📌  Lisk Trading analyst says "Lisk - Incoming Bull Run?" Could this question become a reality? The question is posed in a recent trading analysis from one of our Lisk reddit member actually, namely /u/joerazor . His chart details three Lisk market cycles and an expectation of what we could expect in the current 4th market cycle. He says, "In the coming days/weeks, we will see the anticipated CORE V1.0 release which might get people hyped up again on Lisk and we might see a decent bull run to close our 4th Market Cycle." He follow up with, "I personally believe in Lisk and expect the extreme bull action to be kicking off once Lisk releases their SDK and opens its doors to mass adoption where we could see a bull run similar to what we had in the 3rd market cycle, if not bigger." There is a lot more said of course in the analysis, including a healthy debate in the comments below the chart. You can find it all here....... https://www.tradingview.com/chart/LSKBTC/RgJNNL0u-Lisk-Incoming-Bull-Run/

That's it for today's highlights.

Can anyone explain to me why a Lisk token actually has monetary value?
As far as i know Lisk has missed a few deadlines, although the team already achieve a lot.

Ok you want fact, yes BTC reached 20k US$, but LISK didn't reach 45$ only 39 and a few cents, source coinmarketcap, where all graphs can go behind till the born of the coin.

So those are Facts. And 20000 * -70% = 6000 (so -70% not 300%) and 39 * -87% = 5 (so -87% not 900%) where you come to that percents ?

Hello everybody.
John_Muck, a mod from the Lisk Subreddit here.
On the subreddit I post a daily Lisk highlights post during the working week and a highlight recap of the week every Saturday.
Here are the highlights and interesting items from yesterday on the Lisk reddit sub and beyond.....

Lisk support release new tool!
Delegates Lisk support (https://lisk.support/) have always been very good for providing helpful tools for us Liskers. It seems like it has only been a short while since they unveiled their Lisk Richlist Tool ( https://lisk.support/lisk-richlist/ ) which shows how the LSK tokens are distributed amongst all the Lisk wallets. Now Lisk support are back with a new tool that analyzes the Lisk Blockchain and displays information such as the number of active wallets, how many transactions have occurred in a given time period, or even the Top 100 Transactions To or From Exchanges. You can check out the tool here..... https://lisk.support/lisk-chainalysis/ .  Well done, and keep up the good work, /u/TonyT908 and Lisk support.

Lisk to access the power of machine learning!
A tool called GNY ( https://www.gny.io/ )  is on the way that will allow developers building side chains on Lisk to access the power of machine learning and integrate it into their Dapps. Richard, a representative of the project has been in touch with me and he said the team will be happy to go over any questions that may crop up from the Lisk community. Questions such as, "do you plan to run gny as a sidechain on Lisk" and "what exactly are the biggest problems solved by or use cases of gny compared to centralized machine learning solutions". you can see the answers to these and more in our reddit Q & A with GNY here...... https://www.reddit.com/r/Lisk/comments/91qiu9/gny_access_the_power_of_machine_learning_on_lisk/

Lisk Github Audit puts it in top five projects!
DPRating, who by their own admission are "aiming to become the "Moody's" in the digital currency sector have just released their Github Audit for 200 Blockchain projects for June 2018, and Lisk has performed really well. Lisk placed in fifth position, ahead of Ethereum and Bitcoin. Projects were rated based on their popularity of the library, number of contributors, release frequency, number of commits, and commit type. The blog announcing the results is titled DPRating, Github Audit for 200 Blockchain projects — June 2018 | Who is still coding in the Bear Market? and you can read it here.......  https://medium.com/dprating/dprating-github-audit-for-200-blockchain-projects-june-2018-who-is-still-coding-in-the-bear-283c89735cbe

That's it for today's highlights.
