Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

Hello everyone as the title says ^
Do you store your bitcoins online or on a wallet on your computer, perhaps cold storage?
I do store Bitcoin offline by cold storage, I am storing Bitcoin in normal wallet as well but the amount in cold storage is bigger than in the normal wallet because I need to store as many Bitcoin as I can to earn profit in the future

The most important thing to remember is a private key! It's for savings! And since I do not see any sense at all, strongly encrypt, full of web wallets with two-factor authorization! Anyway, in fact, every time you enter the password! For large amounts, I do not even know, I do not have them, and if they were, I would use qr-code authorization, who knows what's behind it)

Some of my bitcoins are mainly scattered across online wallets like coins.ph and coinbase. I don't have a big quantity or amount of btc to play with cold storage or paper wallets .

I store my bitcoins in my Electrum wallet on my computer.I have been using it for the past three years. No security issues. We can set our fee manually for every transaction as per the market conditions. We could even recover our account if we forget our password through the seed generated.

I store a part (very small percentage) in an online wallet where I use them to buy litecoins for gambling but the chunk of my savings are in the core wallets with my privatekeys saved on a flash drive.

I'm storing my bitcoins on my web wallet though I find the risk is very high. So right now I'm trying to sync my bitcore wallet but it really needs to take a lot of time before it will be connected to the blockchain network. I'm also aware about what is going to happen with this BIP148 so I'm going to store it there for security.

Online wallet also has a good level of security. You do not need to worry, you can activate 2FA. This is a very proven security service. The important thing is you open the online wallet on a secure network, make sure the device you use is free from viruses. You should be able to do maintenance and control it yourself.

I am using online wallet which is coins.ph that for me its really secured with 2fa or google authenticator which is only me can open my account.. because of the uniqueness of authenticator even someone knows your password its impossible to them to logging in ..
and the good think we can withdraw directly to the bank my funds from the site.

For convenience, nothing can beat our local exchanges especially if it has a lot of partners that could give us a convenience to transact.
However, security is still the priority, and anything online is riskier compared to storing your bitcoin offline.

yes i am also using online wallet for a long time. yes there are so many option to make your wallet more secure, and therefore i am felling more secure to use online wallet. in fact i consider the online wallet more secure as compare to desktop wallet, where there are always chances that your computer hard desk can failed and you can lose your wallet.

I guess the best way to store your bitcoin is in a hardware or hardrive is it offline so it is not prone to hacking also it is a hardrive so it is safe storing your bitcoin i guess but web wallet are also recommended because it is more easy to use that the other wallet and your can use it in any time just using internet connection.

I don't have a large amount of bitcoins that I was afraid of losing them. So I keep their savings in simple wallets. Only I use multiple wallets. I even credit card do not keep a lot of money. Probably the most simple and affordable solution to protect your savings

I prefer using online Bitcoin wallets for my easily accessible coins that I need for daily life and a paper wallet for everything else that is not needed urgently and that goes into long-term storage. I haven't decided on buying a hardware wallet yet as I am quite happy with my options at the moment. If I am going out and need btc, I will put some on a mobile wallet like Mycelium or BitGo.

I'm old school, I'm of the mind that if you don't have the key, you don't control the coins. For this reason, I'm not too fond of online wallets, especially exchanges, but I will store a token amount of coins on Polo in case I need to make a trade quickly (waiting for confirms will absolutely kill your trades, trust me). I will also occasionally store a significant amount of coin on Coinbase. But the lion's share goes straight to my KeepKey. Hardware wallets are just really easy, and really secure. Been hacked very significantly once, not trying to experience all that again Wink
