Knowing that this is still stickied on top of our local board, I would like to update reply to some of the people who posted lately here.

1. Lots of Filipinos are joining bounties and airdrops and now is the right time to educate each and every filipino about Trading Discussions. They must know how to trade properly and ina timely manner. Their earnings will just go to waste if they don't know how to exchange them properly to whatever coin they want.[/i]

2. Understanding will not be problem. We use our native language to have a real and healthy discussions about trading. A lot of Filipinos have so-called "Language Barrier" that is why most of them do not understand the terms used in trading discussions. They can now relate to each other's queries.

He has proved a lot of points with regards to what Trading Discussions could do and a lot of people would learn from it. There are a lot of accomplished traders in the cryptospace here in the Philippines, they even have a discord group for it and probably they could make posts here to help "expose" that there's bitcointalk.org forum for people who are cryptocurrency enthusiast such as myself. I would love to support that.

For the Technical Discussion, I don't think it would be needed right away. There are no posts that I can remember that could be related to it.

For Beginners Discussion, I don't think it wouldn't be required since there is already a guideline on starting, they just have to read about it.

News in the country is a lot more interesting in my opinion. I would like to support this as well. It's like Announcements or invitations where people could post about possible events that are happening in the Philippines.

Overall, I would like to support the building of the cryptocurrency support here in the Philippines and I would love to see bitcointalk.org as the center of it.

I suggest that we must have the OFF TOPIC, and MARKET PLACE child boards (or maybe just the OFF TOPIC) We filipinos are fond of sharing thoughts and ideas, news, and other things. With this child board we can absolutely make our Local look presentable and more organize than before.

And also I don't think Beginners and Help will be useful here in this Local Board. As you can see the way we are now, almost none of them cares about the forum rules, system, etc. This is what I've been struggling to find, but it seems that I failed. I failed hoping that newbies and juniors will improve.

So instead of other childboards , I vote for OFF TOPIC. In this board we can have any type of topics.

Additionally, you don't really need it focused on the local board. The Beginners Section of Bitcointalk is already enough, and if you ever need answers to your question, you could post a topic about it. I think that's the way to go about it. For now, other sections are better to be created.

For others, the Off-Topic would be nice, for people to talk about things non-crypto that could help more activity in the Local Board.

Yes, I agreed. It would be nice if we have an Off-topic child board. Instead of Beginners and Help child board, we can use Off-topic to post it there regarding non-crypto topic. For example forum rules, system and other interesting topics. (as what cambalism13 said)

When I was checking other sub local forums in I noticed that most of them have Market Place section, or they named it Buy and Sell. I think we must also have it and to enhance our skills in trading online.

Our local board is like off-topic right now. Creating such board Off-topic (Pilipinas) will just create more spam posts, it won’t help anything aside from members spamming everything they want to post in that board.

Marketplace (Pilipinas) will be helpful, a place we can trade anything, e.g.; I would like to buy some bitcoin using my PHP, let’s say deposit to your bank account (some banks do not have fees on deposits) or anything the seller wants using our fiat, by doing these transactions, we can avoid any transaction fees from any bitcoin service provider here in the Philippines. Also, on that board people can create some lending services that will help those who are in need of assistance with regards to finances, of course people who has the capacity to repay (marunong magbayad, hindi yung merong amnesia pagsisingilin na, at sila pa galit).

Surely it will be spammed by a lot of Filipinos but I think we can just report those spam posts easily and the moderators could easily delete them. There could be a lot of meaningful discussion towards other topics but there are a lot of topics currently in the Philippines that can be talked about that is not related to Bitcoin.

Supporting that kind of service would be nice. Person to person has always been the goal of bitcoin right? I think trust would be the basis with that because how can you say that someone has the capacity?

Andito nanaman ako para mag suggest, pero not a board to suggest, marami na tayong suggestions, but why we should get more boards. Baka makatulong ito if ever kailangan mag pa approve ng ating moderator dito. Naisip ko lang 'to icompare bigla

Siguro with the additional board, there could be more activity here, it could gain more people to be active and maging Central Forum ito sa buong bansa, about Cryptocurrency etc. Dito lahat pupunta if may transaction, questions, etc. Makadagdag din sa mga supporters ng Crypto.

Since there are different factors to consider and definitely not a linear combination of unknown variables, it will be in the logarithmic scale, scale factor 1000.

Observation:
According to the data I collected on March 13, 2019 on all the local boards, ang Pilipinas Local Board ay nasa Top 8 sa top Posts, Topics, and Child Boards but among the top 8, we are the only ones with only 1 child board. Russia coming at first na meron 13 Child boards.

I'm not sure if the forum activity (per local board) is directly proportional sa posts and topics pero ito lamang ay isa kong observation.

I hope makatulong ito kela @Dabs and @Mr. Big para makapag pa dagdag ng board if ever. Siguro mas maganda if pag nakita madagdagan yung Board and makita yung progress upon adding it, maybe it would turn out great.

Kung hindi lang sana parang mga parrot ang mga sig spammers, madali lang ma distinguish if may needed tayong bagong section... Kasu kapag nagkakarun tayo ng massive clean up, kaunti lang ang natitira...

In my opinion, mas madali tayong magkakarun ng mga bagong sections if madaming threads na nagiging dominant na sa mga existing nating mga sections kaysa hihingi tayo muna ng bagong section then saka lalagyan ng mga bagong threads...

Pangit kasi pag paulit ulit na lang, alam naman nila na yung mga sagot, inuulit lang in different construction ng sentences. Guilty ako diyan minsan pero nag babago na ko. Pero sino din ba masisisi diba kung okay din naman yung bigay sa signature campaign. Wag lang talaga spam.

Sana maidagdag din ang Beginners and Help second sa Market Place. Why?

Halos ibang nakikita ko na thread na about sa Beginners and Help ay masyadong complex kumbaga or ang iba naman ay mga term na mahirap intindihin, lalo na pag non-techy ka, mahihirapan ka sa pag intindi sa mga ito. But, mas lalo ito maiintindihan ng mga kababayan natin pag na explain ng maigi lalo na pag na explain sa gamit ang sarili nating linggwahe.

Tingin ko din, pag may Beginners and Help na section sa atin, mas less siguro ang spammers magpupunta dito, kasi for sure, hahanap sila ng thread na madali lang nila magagawan ng random posts or offtopic na posts para lang counted as post sa kanilang bounty. At tsaka siguro pag mga bounty hunters, siguro di na yan sila magbabasa ng mga beginners guide or help, malamang doon na yan naka tambay sa mga Bounties Section (nag aabang ng bagong bounties)

Bumping up this thread since its almost 4years na, and yet isa parin ang ating child board.

I highly suggest to have an off-topic/serious discussion board kase sa napapansin ko, when you make a topic aside from bitcoin, or altcoins then your topic will be deleted, which I experience before and medyo masakit since mahirap gumawa ng thread. I know hinde talaga madali ang magkaron ng child board, kaya dapat magtulungan tayo sa mga ideas. This is my only suggestion, I might be wrong and its ok.
