Personally I have to vote #2. After dealing with a year of the likes of Adam, Luke Jr, GMax etc.... a brief mental breakdown by Mike is completely excused in my opinion.

It is sad isn't it. I used to be such a nice and intelligent guy. I guess hanging around the Core/Blockstream Bias Board has started rubbing off on me. LOL.... this is just a taste of the Comunity wide treatment that is going to spring up if Core/Blockstream continues the sabotage of the democratic process. Classic will be voted on. If it wins... back off or suffer consequences.

Second option isn't rage quit, but it's way to revenge bitcoin because he couldn't find a way to control bitcoin. But, i don't see what's point of this thread, maybe it's really low quality post The point is warning. I find it amazing that people can't recogize the obvious even when it is right before them. Blockstream/Core is clearly signalling a war to the death in the upcoming fork. It doesn't have to be that way - but if they choose the nuclear option, then they need to understand that there will be no forgiveness from the community. And their investors need to understand that their money will most likely be lost if they don't put a leash on the blockstream dog. Bad Dog! Sit!

core supporter can't kill anything, miners and merchants can...actually no even those can not
bitcoin started with one man, and it can fuction with even one man only, you cna only kill the value, which seeing how it is still a joke, it's like doing nothing
and btw mike already re bought all his coins...

Amph just click the ignore button... you cannot win against these shills. I read their posts and get their inputs on subjects until I see them showing their true motives... "click" ignore .... You can debate a issue without personal attacks... They have a right to their opinion, and I do respect that. When it start getting personal ... "click" ignore.

Hilarious.... even on a core/blockstream supporter controlled forum, they are getting their butts kicked on their own forum poll!
Biggest Rage Quit Ever! Let's Kill Bitcoin before we let the majority of Bitcoin Users have their way!

Personally, I thought Mike Hearn's ragequit was rather entertaining. I can be patient with the occasional disagreement within the community, but there are limits. One good thing about all this is that it's shaking out some of the elements that wouldn't have been good for Bitcoin in the long run.

First option means "I'm quitting". Seconds option means "we're quitting and making you all quit", which is selfish. So I'm voting for the second one, even though I don't remember seeing the "we'll kill it" part

Obviously my vote goes to Mike .The Supporters on the other end are at least not as whiny as Mike. Moreover the supporters have a logical reason to whine about which many people may agree with.

My vote also goes to Hearn. It was quite whiny and afterwards price rebounded showing him it did not have much of an effect. Definitely the most entertaining.

I may have to reconsider my vote, because I did say "whiny", and Mike really did put on an amazing show. Probably won't live that down in his lifetime. But there are a few points about price that need correcting..... 1) Bitcoin price did NOT rebound. It went from 430ish down to 360ish, and briefly bounced up into the 390's and is now again downtrending. 2) Mike's bitcoins most likely went into Ethereum. One of the research things I did before starting to transition all my coins into Ethereum, was to look at the price action surrounding Mike's epic Rage Quit. (an amazing source of amusement I will repeat!). But the interesting thing is that Ethereum started shooting up Dramatically just before his announcement. Timing did seem rather "inside informationish" to me. My guess is that is where Mike moved his coins. So he at least got paid well for the loss of his reputation To make the Poll more inclusive of Blochain/Core supporters, I should probably reword it as most whiny OR destructive/bitterand hateful Rage quit. THAT clearly makes it about Blockstream/Core supporters <chuckles> It will be so nice to watch them lose. Sad they are set on so much damage though.

It's obviously Mike Hearn. After quitting he even went to the newspapers to cry, calling himself an core developer after fixing 3 errors in the client over a period of 6 years. Someone should put his picture on Wiki so you get it up if you search cry baby.

Yup...I really don't have a side I favor in this debate, but if I were to vote, I'd have to vote against Mike as vote against who he's working for now....which is worse than the fit he threw in my opinion. And, I too enjoyed a pretty good profit with the Ethereum spike thanks to his tantrum!
