this thread is basically the same as the thread where op thinks we may see $3600 this year. we haven't even reached $1000 let alone $600 and people start already with speculating about the bitcoin price being worth a few $k. we might see the price reach a few $k in 2018 or later. this year not.

A little bit of a positive outlook can help in a lot of ways. OP is just being optimistic no need to tell him that.

But yeah all we know as of the moment is we'll have a rise this year.

As much as we love that to happen, it won't. What your saying is to reach from current value of $372 (at the time of posting this) to $2016 in about 10 months which it's about 442% increase over it's current value which also happen to be insane and can't see any reason that this would happen within this short timeline by end of 2016.

Dear Buddy, I don't think bitcoin will reach upto 2016$ and all. if block halving went through also bitcoin price will be 800$ or maximum 1000$ thats it. it will cross like 2000$ more and all. its a day dream.

How will the price go up to even $2000 if most people will already sell at $1000 to take their profits. And if ever it'll reach higher than $1000, who's going to buy them if we all know that the price was a third of it few months ago.

It was quite interesting number to speculate but i don't think there is enough force behind to push bitcoin that far by this year. No i don't think it will be there anytime soon or by end of this year.

The last big uptrend went much, much higher than the previous all time high. Learning from history, we know it can/will happen again.
Is that "proof" enough for you?

the end of the year will be for consolidation, crazy peak/pump and stuff like that will hit the market much early, with the halving

not sure about surpassing 2k, but the last ath should be touched and surpassed if we are lucky enough with the demand

Uhh, the trend did not hold long enough though it was substantial in predicting future market movements. Also, the price indicated in this thread is too far from reality. In the previous ATH, we all know the market was faked by a bot, FOMO kicked in and bam, the bubble burst. And the price indicated here wouldn't even be a reality given that people are eagerly waiting for four-digits and call it quits.

I never see Btc in its current form replacing money and that's why I don't see it going over 2000$ unless America turns into a banana republic and devalued its currency but then the btc vs usd might go 2000 but vs the €£¥ CAN and AUD it won't see a crazy jump, I feel like speculation vs off topic pipe dreams would be more of a conversation

I think it is impossible, as we all know the price of bitcoin is always unstable, so it is very difficult to price it emerged or survived at the end of the year, but you just need to be optimistic with your beliefs, because it could happen

nothing impossible but it's very difficult to see bitcoin price could reach $1000 above and i think for this year we never seen bitcoin price will reach to $2k and $1200 it was enough for me
