Looks like a picture really is worth a thousand words. Sorry about posting this, it probably gets you down if you´re the regular person hoping for peace.

This could probably be simplified by indicating which groups are fronts for which superpowers, ie:
Al Qaeda/ISIS/Syrian Opposition/Israel/Mossad/CIA/Turkey = USA versus Syrian Army/Hezbollah/Shia Militias/Iran/YPG/Kurds = Russia
World War III has already started folks, fasten your seat belts...

This chart is simple in the sense that the graphics - icon and text - are simple. I can understand the chart but it need time to "decrypt" the information. Thank you for posting this. I always thought there is only two forces fighting in Syria and that is ISIS and US led attack.

"Simple" define that for me quick, as this really kills the whole thing, lol! Not like I have any background knowledge of the war in Syria, but this just destroyed anything I already knew.

It is not just the Muslims. There are also a lot of Christians, Druze and Yazidis fighting in Syria. For example, pro-government militias such as the Sutoro and the Syrian Social Nationalist Party are mostly Christian. Some of the pro-government militia units in Northern Syria are Yazidi. Issam Zahreddine, a Druze Major General is leading the regime forces in the besieged city of Deir ez Zorr.
