Very nice initiative taken here, as a longterm holder its very apreciated.
Infact, we will now add our SUPER holding to our posfund portfolio and offering our stakes OTC.
Let us know what more we can do to help out in building the super community.
This coin IS really fast and nice, when more users experience this we should see interesting things.

Happy (SUPER) staking!

Thanks for your post!  Supercoin needs more awareness!  Supercoin versus Dash is one way to bring more awareness.  I personally believe Supercoin is more anonymous than Dash. I known Supercoin's transactions are faster than Dash.  With popularity comes critique.  With critique then comes proof to defend against the the critique.  We need to be able to prove that Supercoin is more anonymous and more efficient than Dash.  If we can prove this then the cryptocurrency community will do the rest.  Supercoin's 3.1.1.0 Wallet has been working without any issues since the original Dev left back over a year ago.   We would like to find a way to get the best and the brightest that are involved with cryptocurrency to audit it and/or get PR to help spread the amazing technology behind Supercoin.

possible reasons why the 4.0 wallet wont connect with as many peers as 3.1

-boost lib dep changed
-open ssl updated and a security issue causes less cons
-change with UPNP config which is a huge security issue anyway.

besides these three things there weren't any communication protocol changes / differences between the two wallets. im going to say the boost update has 0 reasons for it. the open ssl might actually leave issues open since the versions are both very old. the upnp config might have also had something to do with it. i noticed i had fixed something with it a while back but never compiled a new wallet as i didnt think it was that big of an issue. it might just be that big of an issue and i will recompile a new wallet tonight with the UPNP changes and test the config file that is posted.

if it is the UPNP config, then something needs to be addresses because someone found a larger security issue with UPNP in bitcoin a while back and those vulnerabilities might affect all of the coins here. i will be looking into the UPNP fix bitcoin did but if anyone has any additional information on that please let me know.

i will also be checking possible port collisions with popular software since i believe supercoin uses a IANA controlled registered port (will have to double check that though)
supercoin does not have any conflicting ports with other popular registered software

edit: if anyone has any desired features for supercoin. please feel free to request

Well done fuze on the new thread. Great stuff.

So I see we are still a part of Griffiths trusted cryptos but with a supercoin specific thread.
Thank you Griffith for your continuing support.

I think this is a much better setup as we can be more focused on supercoin here. Superfocus!!

There is already more cohesion and the ability to get things done for super.
This is so good to see.

Thanks....this worked after I downloaded the old wallet. The wallet from Griffith is not working with the same config file. Having 5 connections right from the start

thats actually an issue, i will look into that... i might have some config wrong that would affect all my projects, i cant have that happening

A little update for griffith. With the wallet from griffith I am getting max. 5 connections. With wallet version 1.6.1.0 I am getting 14-15 connections. I have also noticed that when I close the wallet from griffith (version 4 I believe) and wait a few minutes to open the 1.6.1.0 wallet that I will get a warning that it's not possible to connect to the specific port because it already seems to be open. The wallet thinks that the wallet from griffith is still on. I need to reboot the computer to close that port before I can open the Superwallet again.

I hope that this info can help you find the problem

Can you share the nodes you are getting. With the conf file from Fuzz still having NO connections

I have had such issues just recently with some of my other coins but it wasn't the conf file nor the wallet.
Basically, no matter what I did with conf file, it couldn't connect to many nodes and syncing wasn't working.
But syncing with the backup of the blockchain using the same wallet was able to connect to heaps of nodes. (I make full backup copy of my blockchain+wallet)
So sometimes, it's not the wallet. But yeah, not sure if your issue was the same as mine.

Thanks!  Keep up the hardwork Griffith.  I am looking for another Dev or two to help with the work load.  All of the top cryptocurrency coins have multiple Devs because each Dev brings something different to the table.  Thanks again!

Teamwork is what we needed!  With numbers we have power!  That is how Dash, bitcoin, ethereum are doing it.  Supercoin has amazing transaction speeds and has a working anonymous tech with multisignature!
Lets spread this message to the cryptocurrency world!  We want them to challenge everything that is Supercoin.  Let them prove to the community Supercoin is flawed or amazing.

Keep Minting!
