apparently i woke up this morning to a lot of forum reading.

My stand of view is that I would never use a cryptocurrency for buying any marijuana as it always leaves a digital signature, cash doesn't.
i completely agree with the statement above.

Due to the size of the blockchain, and the fact you don't want to be eating up the minutes & battery life syncing, best option would be a web wallet.
http://thealtcoinguys.com/web-wallets/
So you should be able to use the anon send feature, but that would have to be tested.

One other point of consideration, would be Liquidity as Super has just returned to the markets, it price would probably not hold against massive selling or at least not at the current price, it will take a few weeks to see where it settles.

One possible solution would be gift cards,
http://www.cannacash.com
Find Someone in Colorado or wherever MJ is being sold that will exchange super for gift cards.
That would be a start.

 Cool
web wallets are the most insecure wallets out there (except those run by the professional teams meaning blockchain.info and the major bitcoin exchanges)
also a mobile wallet would be fine. bitcoin has them and the chain for bitcoin is over 60GB. so you would need to use the same data storage system as a bitcoin wallet. and no, i dont know anything about developing for mobile platforms.

Can i ask ? Why thre's still no buy orders on cex trading Sir? Thank you

It is still Syncing.  They started about the same time as https://chainz.cryptoid.info/super/ if want want an idea of how far they have gone.

not true, they finished syncing twice now but got stuck on a fork that is 10k blocks back from the real chain because someone out there is running a bad node. they contacted me about it last night and i am going to help them fix the problem with it today.

IF YOU SEE THAT YOUR WALLET IS NOT ON THE SAME BLOCK AS https://www.blockexperts.com/super (or within 10 blocks of it) RESYNC YOUR WALLET

There is 1 official code. That is the code on the Github from Griffith. That is the code that is being followed by the exchanges. When Griffith is working on the code he will be working on it on his local computer in an developers environment. When his changes are ready to be distributed he will release a new wallet and update his Github so that everybody is able to use the newest wallets (including the exchanges). When he will release a new wallet (less memory use and new PoS rates) then  he will also update the protocol version. This will make the old wallets useless because this is necessary for the new stake rates....it will be mandatory update, everybody needs to use that new wallet, no exceptions

the statement above is 100% accurate. there is only one version of the source. my local machine has some changes on it (the PoS changes) but i havent uploaded them yet because i was going to do the memory fix. however i am thinking i will put the PoS changes up tonight and make a mandatory update. then the memory update (when finished) will follow and will be optional since it is your preference on how much memory you want used.

edit: will try my best to get the website up for tonight

why don't you commit your changes to github already? Then we can see what has been done. You can commit other changes along the way. Committing a lot doesnt hurt, especially if you commit to a seperate branch, but you will know that as the dev :-) So please commit your pending (local) changes.

Electrum Supercoin wallet would be the best option avoiding huge size of blockchain file.

Alongside bitcoin, some altcoins already have this type of wallet, GRS for example:
http://groestlcoin.org/forum/index.php?topic=377.0

Totally Agree , if you're going to do an android wallet this is the way to do it,
private keys are stored on the Android device, but the blockchain is stored on a web server.
This way you won't kill the battery life or eat up a huge amount of bandwidth on the cell plans.

If it will do the same thing, why use that @TVZ?

When use bootstrap it stucks on "rescanning" to the end of the time...

After closing, wallet.dat is unusable.

I don't want to use anything similar, and just got lucky because i had wallet.dat backup.

I would rather wait...

its not stuck at rescanning it will just take anywhere from 30 minutes to 12 hours depending on the amount of resources your computer can apply to rechecking all 3 million blocks in the chain. if u left it on overnight it should finish (it shouldnt rescan more than once after a bootstrap is downloaded)

ok 4.0.1 wallet is available on the website. everyone should be on that version as soon as possible (need someone to compile a mac version for me since i cant compile that OS) there is less than 100k blocks left to upgrade because of the PoS changes at that block. those not on the new system will fork. exchanges and BE should be alerted of the update immediately.

i reuploaded the wallet due to some very small error so if you found it wasnt working just redownload it

So... Another few weeks syncing...again...
How to install a Bootstrap.dat file

After downloading and uncompressing the rar file  ,

Start up your new Wallet software,
after it opens, then Close it, (In windows , this allows the new wallet to create the folder under C:\Users\"username"\AppData\Roaming\WalletNameHere )

Copy the bootstrap.dat file in the folder c:\Users\"username"\AppData\Roaming\WalletNameHere (for Windows) or in the WalletNameHere data folder for other OSes. Now Start the New Wallet to import the BootStrap.dat , (Depending on your PC and the size of the bootstrap , this can take many hours) (You can watch the progress of the import by opening the folder c:\Users\"username"\AppData\Roaming\WalletNameHere and watch the blk0001.dat file size to see how close it is to the bootstrap.dat to get a feel for how much longer it might be)  once finished it will then begin synchronization to retrieve any blocks found after the Bootstrap was created. (Tech Note, the wallet does not completely Open until it finishes the Import.)

Bootstraps can dramatically decrease the time required to sync a new wallet, especially one that is over a year old.
The only thing faster is a Blockchain Snapshot , which is currently the fastest way to sync a coin.

This Bootstrap service is basically free, we would appreciate it if the people running the OPs would place a link to us here, that frees them from the tedious work of keeping a bootstrap updated where they can focus their time on more important matters, and in exchange we will update their Bootstrap on a monthly basis.

 Cool

Bootstraps can be downloaded from the Blockchain Folder at
https://mega.nz/#F!CJRnyDDL!vbYN-3mvj9RBE7Phl27Sjg

If it will do the same thing, why use that @TVZ?

First , make a backup copy of your wallet.dat,
Rename supercoin directory to oldsupercoindirectory,
then follow the How to install Bootstrap instructions in the above post and wait for the wallet to Load, Don't Close it.
Once it finishes , close the supercoin wallet and copy your wallet.dat file with your coins back into the supercoin directory.

Then restart supercoin wallet with -rescan behind it.

Tech Note:
Bootstrap.dat are only to be used for Brand New Installs,
DO NOT TRY AND INSTALL A BOOTSTRAP IN AN ALREADY WORKING WALLET.

Why are you doing porn here?

Ok, please explain.

If you're telling a joke, I will need more details before it becomes funny.

If you actually have porn popping up on your PC when you click the mega link,
Dude you got a browser-redirect-virus on your PC, and should scan it ASAP.
That's on you , nothing to do with my link.

Tech Tip: If you visit porn sites, use Kaspersky antivirus otherwise your PC will catch VD (virus damage).  Cheesy
