If your Active network connection stay Low or you suffer from a lot of disconnects in your debug log.
As usual , we can blame Microsoft, the windows firewall is a strange creature, even thru the coin seems to work without making changes to the windows firewall , it seems to cause some issues.

Some Windows users may have trouble finding active connections or only are able to keep a low number active like 5 or 9 or the Number seems to rise and fall within a few minutes, instead of staying fairly stable.

Windows :
Click start, click control panel, click Windows Firewall,
Make a note on which network is connected Home/Work or Public
Then Click on Allow a Program or feature thru Windows Firewall , click allow another program, click browse , then go to the folder with Supercoin-qt.exe , select supercoin-qt.exe  , click open, click add ,

It should then be in the list of allowed programs with a check mark to the left and a check mark on the right side under home/work or public (you want it to be on the 1 that showed as connected), Click OK , and then reboot.

Next time you start the Supercoin client, your active connections should reach higher numbers.

From the OP.

We will host a mini-IPO for 5% of the total X11 PoW coins. The proceeds of the IPO will be used to finance the coin development, website/servers, marketing/promotions and maintenance and enhancements of the coin.

Sure. I do see that now.
You do know Griffith was basically handed the reigns from the original developers who disappeared with that money?

What I don't understand is why 2 years and 2 months after the fact, you're asking where the ICO funds went? Were you around then? Have you contributed to the continued development of SuperCoin?

Just sounds like you're a shit-stirrer is all.

If you hang around, you're about to see a brand new chain with a much smaller disk footprint, transactional-load based block mining, which can receive funds from several other existing currency wallets (with no modification) and true anonymity with sends.

Look forward to seeing your contributions; both donations and your input.

History lesson for some:

I was one of the ICO buyers at launch. Back in early 2014. ICO was 250 sat each.

It had some mini 1-2k sat pumps in Bittrex.

Then not long later, it got added to MintPal then Bitcoinwisdom and it got mega-pumped to 18k sat with tons of volume.

Ah the good old days.

Shortly after, Busoni from Poloniex killed this coin with major fud. (MAX_MONEY. lol)
https://bitcointa.lk/threads/why-poloniex-has-rejected-supercoin.328925/

Supercoindev was mysterious but knew his code well. Coded SuperSend using multi-sig within weeks alone with the white paper.

Sad to see him leave. Lots of fud sure didn't help. At least he released his code to the public before leaving.

Thankfully Griffith took over and maintained it well since.

Nearly 2 years has past now. Coin still works well, fast and stable.

Now with barry onboard, I'm getting excited about it all again.

I got some new stash and now holding. You just never know with crypto. Cool

Very curious about the true anonimity that you mentioned.

Do you just mean current implementation of SuperSend or has it been improved?

I can see that there is some testing going on with a new version of the SuperCoin wallet V1.4.2. When can we expect the new wallet or is there no release planned yet?

The current implementation of SuperSend is currently among the best in anonymous transaction technology; however it can be a bit slow to send due to the large blockchain, however this should be allievated with the new release.

Is there a new version out? v1.4.2.. better let baz know, oh.. wait...
You may have seen this in error - the new release may not even be known as SuperCoin.

Anyway now for an update, thought I would let everyone know that we are at tops a week away from a release.

  • I've got a successful tamper-proof implementation of my crosschain code working at the moment; fully compatible with existing SuperCoin, MultiWalletCoin and ECCoin wallets, via a side-plugin which communicates via RPC-JSON. It can also be used standalone for the ultra-paranoid; outputting the appropriate command for you to send coins between blockchains, which you paste into your debug console manually. I'm not sure if this has been done before, whilst preserving the original client completely; it just seemed the most logical way to do it and it works very well.
  • I've got (most of) a very lightweight blockexplorer/monitor required for the crosschain sends, more an informational update as this sits in the backend and you dont see it (but it still has feelings).
  • Transactional-based chain mining/movement is very simple yet works very well, ensuring that the chain will grow at a much more acceptable rate; without sacrificing speedy sends.
  • Currently I am investigating the best method to calculate the rate at which coins are exchanged from the existing ECC/SUPER/MWC wallets to the new chain, not an easy task nor an easy answer.

I might put up a few screenshots later on tonight to demonstrate how seamlessly it all works.

Thanks for the awesome update James!

Really appreciate your hard work.

But I didn't got the above point. Do you mean all there coins(SUPER/ECC/MWC) will be merged into one in new chain? I don't think it is a good idea.

Does that mean we are talking about deciding if to end ECC and MWC via send them into the new chain? Most of us are i think reasonably fond of supers current and projected coin count.
ECC is a great coin with great potential but as its coin count is 20 billion, i'm not sure how that would work.   Bugger that the MWC went quiet and bitrex deleted. Hope we can get back on....

Cheers For Update

Rebranding to a whole new name with a stronger coin tech & dev team sounds like the way to go?
But maybe we should still keep the "SuperSend" name as it sounds cool and was my idea. Grin

What about "SuperDead" ?

definitely dead, well.. like dead but that other thing.. living?
being built with patience, care and testing at each step..
