I think that not only now but since the halving it will be not any kind of pump and dump. Everyone is waiting this event to see what will happen. Meanwhile who believe in bitcoin will continue to buy few amounts time after time with the justified hope that after halving it would be an increase (which can be even not few) of its price. Maybe this time will be even the time of various speculators but not of the big whales (at least this is what I think). They don't need to buy because have enough and it will be enough for them to sell from that which have (if the price will at the level wanted by those. |

I too think what's happening today is a 'simple' Pump & Dump; bunch of folks making a move to squeeze some profit out of it. However, this happens all the time and I'm still confident Bitcoin itself isn't a huge Pump & Dump scheme. I'd guesstimate that Bitcoin gains slowly in value in the coming months, no doubt with ups and downs to spice things up a bit ... !

Compared to gold,silver, stock index, real estate, companies like apple, google or Berkshire H. Bitcoin's market cap is a dwarf!! Calm down, people. As many of you pointed out, this pump and dump scheme has been going on for a long time, ever since bitcoin started. Remember MtGox? They were perfecting the technique before they imploded. Do you honestly believe Bitfinex out of Hong Kong engages in honest practices without any shenaniganous practices like "painting the tape", canceling orders out of blue, etc??? Huobi and other Chinese exchanges are known to proudly show fake volumes. Coinbase routinely cancels sell/buy orders, so does Gemini. This is all about manipulating the market. Wake up and smell the coffee, people!!! They have stacked the decks against you!!!

The price is not going down sooner or later. The bottom is around $370. It will not go below that level. What makes you think the bottom is at $370? The lowest price this year was slightly above the $350 price level. That is still the real bottom for this year. No matter how small the chances are, the price can always dip below the current bottom of $350 with enough panic in the market. |

For 2 days in a row the price has been increased slightly but not as much as we want, i think the price should go at $450 in these two weeks before April, i think that one reason is the popularity of ETH recently which took to much attention.

People who need cash now, then later in 2-3 months waiting for a price increase.. heck i sold some off today cause I need extra cash for something.
And its a matter of how you obtain your bitcoin.
