Of course it does, everything in this world can be use in any illegal activities, even FIAT money used to illegal activities, how much more cryptocurrencies that is use in a virtual world and you are transacting to a person that you can't even see or touch that can make himself/herself fully anonymous in the internet, that is more far dangerous though.

yes i am agree with you there is no doubt this that bitcoin can be use for illegal activities and there  is also no doubt about this that all other fiat currencies may also be used for illegal activities, but there is no fault of bitcoin as most of the people still using it for good and legal activities.

Well, for my country it is not illegal but I can say that if you make a high amount of bitcoin and than exchange it for fiat currency they may ask “where did you get this money from” which might be hard to explain to goverments all around the world. So make bitcoin, spend bitcoin ,means do not try to encash it.

Why you want to go through all these trouble? Instead of receiving the money in your bank account, you can meet up with some reputed trader from the localbitcoins and then exchange your coins for physical cash. How the government is going to track you?

The government will only be able to track a person only if they cashout all the money at once, and then deposit a big ammount into the bank again, besides that i doubt they can track anyone. Bitcoin is worthing cash, and well fiat is being used for legal and ilegal stuff since the begining of fiat, its something that no one can stop.

One thing I want to clear you that bitcoin is not risky, and I think no one know that who is using bitcoin and who is not using it, as bitcoin is anonymous, maybe more politicians use bitcoin but we do not know about them. But at the end, they are contributing to a new technology which might help a common citizen with bitcoin's investment characteristics.

One thing I want to clear you that bitcoin is not risky, and I think no one know that who is using bitcoin and who is not using it, as bitcoin is anonymous, maybe more politicians use bitcoin but we do not know about them. But at the end, they are contributing to a new technology which might help a common citizen with bitcoin's investment characteristics.  

The thing is it's not safe either, maybe our definition about safe and risky differs because we are making decision base on how valuable bitcoin to us. But I would stand with my opinion that bitcoin is risky as for me it's more on an investment than an online currency.

I think it was just supposed that bitcoin maybe used for illegal activities in large scale but I think when the number of bitcoin users increased people's understanding about bitcoin is now changing and they are now using bitcoin for legal activities just like fiat currencies.

The volumes are not down in gambling and illegal transactions, but we have to acknowledge that we don't have anything to do to combat them. Hackers and criminals always wanted anonimity and of course they would prefer other options like Bitcoin. There's nothing we can do about it, they will never cease to exist.

lets talk about the illegal gambling. if it is banned in county A, then i can still play on an illegal gambling site in county A. in this case it does not matter if i pay in the countries currency or bitcoin, since both would be illegal. but i could also play on a legal gambling site in county B. i also see no difference if i pay the site in country B currency or bitcoin. and unless exchanging currency A to B is also forbidden, this would not make a difference. there is one more case. if the gambling site from country B disallows player from country A (since it is forbidden). in that case they would want some kind of document that proves where you from and in this case it would not be depending on you payment method. if you do it right bitcoin should be no big help for people who want to gamble illegally.

No one for sure can say it is because I have used it for illegal activity but its not impossible as I have read somewhere how multinational companies because of the stringent foreign exchange policy in repatriating funds abroad have resulted in the use Bitcoin in achieving that by buying large amount of Bitcoin with the local currency then transfer to their headquater abroad who then convert to its own currency through the exchangers...

I don't think that kidnappers are demanding ransom in Bitcoins. At least I haven't heard about any such incidents. On the other hand, ransomware, which demand payment in Bitcoins are a serious curse everywhere. But no one can be physically hurt with ransomware. Even if you don't pay the ransom, at the most they can destroy your data.

even on the dark web it is not that easy to buy some highly illegal stuff or hire a killer. those are often just stories to tell people how bad the deep web is. many drugs a sold, but they also get sold at other places and because of the big number and the lower police interest people get away easier with it.

It would be embarrassing if you think that it is not used for illegal activities. You know everything that Bitcoin has to offer, so it is the perfect currency to transact if you think about it. No required identification for every transaction just the addresses and signatures to verify it's yours.
