All US Paypal account holders have been notified that a settlement has been finally reached in a class-action lawsuit in which the Plaintiffs alleged that the payment processor, Paypal, had improperly handled a large number of disputed financial transactions on US Paypal accounts and had improperly frozen funds or suspended or closed verified accounts. Plaintiffs have also claimed that Paypal didn’t provide yearly error-resolution notices or monthly account statements as advised by the Electronic Fund Transfer Act.
The class action settlement was filed against Paypal Inc. (Paypal) and eBay Inc. (eBay). Accordingly, if you have a US Paypal account or have had an active Paypal account in the period between April 19, 2006 and November 5, 2015, the published notice describes your legal rights and possible benefits from this class action settlement.
