For shits sakes people, if normal folks like me can't get the Qora wallet working how do you expect this coin to have mass appeal? I've tried for months and no matter what, I can't get my Qora off Polo and into my wallet! Would anybody have any suggestions as to how I should proceed? I just downloaded the latest version, updated java, and the wallet just sits there doing nothing. There is no problem with Dash or Pivx, and a bunch of others, so wtf? What's so great about a coin that I can't even send into my wallet?

We was looking for Qora source code for compile wallet, but do not find source code that we need. We could add it on CryptoDAO exchanger. Guide us, if anyone knows.

I didn't hear about any other exchanges wanting to take QORA on yet - I found out that the reason why NOBL got listed on cryptopia was because somebody dontated 1.5BTC, following that the price increased x4. There could be a lot of profit to be made if somebody with deep pockets did the same for QORA - failing that - maybe the community can fund a listing...

Didn't hear back from Trex or Nova so far

I finally got the wallet working. Here is what I did and it may help others. Download the universal wallet zip. Unzip it and edit the peers.json file to include these peers only

 "knownpeers": [
      "192.111.150.242",
      "216.126.198.26",
      "71.94.87.188",

      "193.242.148.251",

   ],

Once that's done you can either search google for a qora log4j.properties file or get it here ---> https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Qoracoin/Qora/master/Qora/log4j.properties
Save the log4j.properties file in your directory with all the other files. The wallet should then sync. Worked for me so maybe it will help some others.

No, simply right click the link above and save the file as log4j.properties. You save this file in the same folder all the other wallet files are saved in.

QORA on OpenLedger with markets BTC, ETH, USD, EUR and more

I can confirm that QORA is now an asset on the digital asset exchange OpenLedger with its many gateways to both cryptocurrencies and fiat.

Description of the token on OpenLedger is as follows: https://openledger.io/asset/QORA or via: http://cryptofresh.com/a/QORA

IMPORTANT!!! Due to the low value of QORA per unit and the big amount in supply, it has caused some issues, and to ensure it is possible still to list all QORA on OpenLedger, 1 QORA on OpenLedger will equal 1000 QORA on its native wallet. It means any deposited QORA to below official wallet will appear on OpenLedger 1000 less per every QORA. I will make sure that on Coinmarketcap it will show the original price when api feed is given. It means that when you trade QORA on OpenLedger, every 1 QORA is equivalent to 1000 native QORA.

IT means also that 1 QORA on OpenLedger is worth 4000 Satoshi and not 4, as 1 QORA on OpenLedger = 1000 QORA crypto currency.

QORA GOLD (1000 QORA)

The cryptocurrency QORA (1000 Original Qora equal 1 QORA OL asset) http://qora.org is listed as an IOU on OpenLedger with the asset name QORA, it is backed by OpenLedger ApS crypto gateway formerly known as CCEDK. Official QORA adress on OpenLedger: QU5TZ11Wpy5ntcWyuD2WXcBm1Xm2LJUyeG
Deposit fee is FREE, you send to above adress, but only after e-mail confirmation with amount and sender adress.
Withdrawal fee is 1% of QORA IOU to QORA real currency - send amount of asset QORA to account: qora-cold with your own adress in memo and an e-mail as notification. Withdrawals and deposits are processed within 24 hours.
Deposits possible only against e-mail confirmation ronny@ccedk.com with amount and adress before transfer has taken place. You may use this QORA token against any assets on OpenLedger and it is accepted as a 1:1 value of the cryptocurrency QORA.

Issued by: ccedkbts

the acount ccedkbts on OpenLedger is the first account created by CCEDK ApS, the company now being branded as OpenLedger ApS, and is also the master account for all assets and accounts issued by OpenLedger ApS.

Although there might be some parts related to logistics accepting the many deposits, I have deceided I will once more do all I can to support the further development of Qora. I know from crowetic that lots of good stuff is coming up, but also that limited ressources have delayed matters a bit from time to time. Recent update of database and the many successful testruns confirmed to me that QORA has a bright future ahead. It is only a matter of time.

I will work on an official announcement to be presented to any media with an interest in seeing which ones of the delisted currencies will be offered a new "home". I am woking on adding 3-4 currencies of the mentioned 17 simply because I believe they have a purpose and would like to be a part of their further development and growth.

There is a limitation on the digital asset exchange also, which means that only 1 billlion tokens are able to be traded in one time on the exchange, but lets see what that means to the overall activity, and then decide at that point. Although there is some 10 billion supply it is since early days the assumptions that an estimated 2 billion are dormant or lost, so that 8 billion Qora is what one should use for various calculations.

It is always possible to hold the qora on the above mentioned official QORA address no matter the amount for safe keeping in case someone has issues with their own wallet, as nobody says you have to trade it as such, but it does mean that if you ever wish to withdraw from that same account it will have a fee of 1% which will then be deducted prior to withdrawal.

I will create markets today connected to currencies already listed with their own gateways on OpenLedger.

BTC
ETH
DASH
USD - fiat gateway (OPEN.USD) you need to be validated according to KYC to use both deposit and withdrawal
EUR - fiat gateway (OPEN.EUR) you need to be validated according to KYC to use both deposit and withdrawal
BTS - native token of OpenLedger and of the BitShares network
bitUSD - native stablecoin (SmartCoins) of BitShares network
bitCNY - native stablecoin (SmartCoins) of BitShares network
OBITS - official token of OpenLedger (all fees related to the QORA markets will be used to buy back and burn OBITS, every 2nd of the month)

Apart from the above, we as well as yourself in fact are able to establish markets related to any of the following cryptocurrency gatewaysas well as the native assets. I will list them here, and not that they all listed on OpenLedger as OPEN assets. They are as follows

DGD, MAID, NXC, MKR, LTC, USDT, STEEM, LISK, WAVES, INCNT, GRC, OMNI, DOGE, GAME. There might be even more than these.

Assets created and issued where they are all backed by OpenLedger are as follows:

OBITS, ICOO, BTSR, QBITS BLOCKPAY, FIMK, QORA.

What goes for all of the above is that all of them can be traded with eachother allowing thousands of markets as the need will emerge, and anyone could as easy as a copy and paste in the browser of the webwallet confirm a new market. It is the beauty of this kind of digital asset exchange, as it has practically no limits and will allow it to scale with the need.

For the time being I think it is nice to be able to trade QORA in both BTC, ETH, BTS and fiat USD and EUR as well as the SmartCoins bitUSD and bitCNY, and I hope you like the news as well. It is up to you as a community and supporters to show me that I am not wrong when believing in QORA as a currency here to stay and that POLONIEX was wrong when they decided to delist, making it their loss and the win of any QORA holder.

Yours sincerely

Ronny Boesing
CEO
OpenLedger ApS

You may always reach me on the e-mail ronny@ccedk.com, or my team on support@openledger.info

Here comes the markets created:

OBITS: https://openledger.io/market/OBITS_QORA
ICOO: https://openledger.io/market/ICOO_QORA
BTS: https://openledger.io/market/BTS_QORA

The way we do now, we did it in a similar way for Qora when we had it listed on CCEDK, with the intent to later on implement with full integration of both deposit and withdrawal mode mode, but since the support was on Poloniex mainly at that time it never really was worth it. I hope that now I am able to see some activity allowing me to do this for OpenLedger but this will have to happen based on the interest in Qora overall, so in short, I will leave it up to the interest in using OpenLedger for Qora trading for me to put some manhours into a full automode integration. I hope that is fair enough!

There is not much difference on a day to day basis, and I think anyone using OpenLedger on a normal basis will agree that there is not much better that this out there due to its many ways of trading as well as short and long options on the Smartcoins. Soon it will be possible as well to withdraw these very same Smartcoin in USD, EUR, JPY directly to debitcard with no need of a bank account, all you need is the IBAN code offered in the OpenLedger debit card solution and you are ready to cash out or pay anywhere in the world
