I wonder if this bettor has inside information.  That's a lot of money to put on the line without some sort of information to back it up.

Yes: 0.88
No: 253.69

Come on, Josh/Inaba - put your money where your mouth is! If you are so convinced that you ship in February it will be easy money for you.

That's a good point!  We'll have to wait and see if the bet gets countered.

Considering that there are still 14561.94104029 BTC on source address, 250btc is a small number for this person.

Edit:
I thought maybe it could be a shared web wallet, mtgox type, but I would say no.

This is the MPEx Exchange address (1Fx3N5iFPDQxUKhhmDJqCMmi3U8Y7gSncx). So is this betting with customers exchange funds, or the bookkeeper betting against his own customers (Mircea Popescu partially owns BitBet)?

Whoever bet that is a fool.. I suspect it's Mircea Popescu... good luck winning your bet against when you lose, though.  I'm sure he'll force close the bet and negate all bets after we ship so he doesn't lose the 250 BTC.

If you're searching these lines for a point, you've probably missed it.  There was never anything there in the first place.

Pirateat40 had this same type of confidence that he would win that bet with Vandroiy (whatever his name).

But you have to admit that was a really good long con. Selling expensive FPGAs for a low price to create confidence, collect tons of pre-order money and then brake down when people loose confidence is a clever strategy. You catch the people pirate never catched - very clever!

That is the MPEx public inbound address. Any customer that ever withdraws anything from MPEx will likely have at least some coins that can be traced to that address (and in that sense it works as a mixer).

Is it "honest abe"? Like the October 2012 shipping date?
