I already did. I see you like kicking an investor while he is down almost as much as the community enjoyed this PR blast. While I appreciate the clarity I still think you all went about it in the most abrasive way possible ("digging in mud" and "flinging crap"). Now you want to keep taunting me or you about ready to move on? Because as an investor, I am about ready to move on.

I do suppose I owe an apology though to iCEBREAKER for calling him a  "punk bitch". Sorry about that. Same goes to AP. I couldn't swing my sword fast enough.

It's not about kicking somebody when they're down, it's about cutting through the denial/deflection and utilizing the teachable moment.

You started the abrasive stuff; I merely dialed it up until you had enough (never wrestle with a pig... Wink).

Anyway, apology accepted.  You are welcome to join us on Monero Mountain.  We have ponies, beer, and wine!   Cool

And yet another topic where we can see more rubbish and dirty talk about SDC and MONERO.
People do you really think you will succeed something if you attack each other?
Please stop with these madness!

Amen ... its getting a bit tiring to read.

I don't like boy bands, so I don't listen to them--seems to work. Pretty sure you can apply the same technique with threads you don't like.

Which system is used more by people? SDC or MONERO?
I'm not person with much technical knowledge.
Why DASH still have much more volume than those two mentioned?

So shen was working on a Monero bug a week ago:
https://github.com/ShenNoether/RingCT/commit/6640e808018bb47ea34fd112dbf2d2bef9c1156b

Which got pulled into Monero 6 days ago:
https://github.com/monero-project/research-lab/commit/b215a98a749c452c0a0336ab4ee93b1d71df2e78

Then he decided to take the crosshairs to SDC and you guys started this PR blast? Why didn't you scream your bug from the rooftop? I'm not saying you guys used SDC as a diversion from your own fucked up code... but I think you guys used SDC as a diversion for your own fucked up code.

Also I tried to be nice but iCEBREAKER you are a little bitch that likes to kick people while they are down and everyone who posted above can eat a penis. And thanks for the money on your uptrend! I was the one buying 500 chunks and dumping them on your peaks!

First and foremost, that code hasn't been implemented yet into the main chain of Monero. Shen specifically asked for testers of the code a few weeks ago so community members could report bugs etc.. Second, this thread was started by a community member, not by a Monero Research Lab member nor a core-team member. Core-team members can't stop community members from opening threads. Also, the reddit posts were mine and I don't have an official "role" as well.

Congratulations on the trading profits.

/research-lab/ isn't the main Monero repo.

If ShadowTrash refuses to pay Shen for his work, I'll cover the bounty myself.

It's unforgivable SDC would advertise rewards for bug hunters, then renege.

So it hasnt been patched yet?! And you guys think its a good idea to attack another crypto?! Also the bounty is being paid you moron (from what I read in slack).

Can't believe Monero has a "gamebreaking" bug and you guys are acting like this.

Patched how? Like I stated earlier, that is a testing branch which has not been merged nor implemented yet to the main/master branch of Monero. That branch is specifically meant for testing currently. Any bugs there won't influence Monero currently.

I don't think SDC can patch this.  It's de-anon'd the entire chain.  Better to start over, with some good crypto.

The bug doesn't exist in Monero.  The Research Lab repo commit is for documentation purposes.

I'm glad SDC is (reportedly) doing the right thing and paying Shen.  It's a good thing they didn't listen to the "there's no problem here" hand-waving denials.

The market wasn't released yet. There were few transactions at risk and probably none that could implicate anyone. Monero however has risk associated due to, as you all put it, "used by more people". SDC can fork no problem but damn you guys haven't even figured out how to fix it and haven't told anyone yet? You all still have the patch on the testbed?

Should I start 4 reddit threads in 3 different subs, a blog, and a dedicated thread while trollfag'ing your main bitcointalk thread on a couple accounts? No, because I'm not that dude. STFU about me and SDC pls.

It hasn't been implemented in any chain whatsoever.

That is purely R&D work on cryptography. Maybe that's how he came across the math issue, I don't know the details.

@erok There is no such bug in Monero itself. It uses the proper method for key images, not the incorrect one.

You appear to be the type of guy that is butthurt that you are invested in a broken cryptocoin and someone found a pretty big bug in SDC.

It's better to have the truth out about the technology you choose to use than to have it swept under the rug....like DASH.

First and foremost, that code hasn't been implemented yet into the main chain of Monero.

It hasn't been implemented in any chain whatsoever.

That is purely R&D work on cryptography. Maybe that's how he came across the math issue, I don't know the details.

@erok There is no such bug in Monero itself. It uses the proper method for key images, not the incorrect one.

I guess it's a good thing I didn't run a PR campaign around it then. Tongue

Then again, that's not the type of guy I am.

You appear to be the type of guy that is butthurt that you are invested in a broken cryptocoin and someone found a pretty big bug in SDC.

I say let sdc fix the issue if they can and go after xmr devs to show them.. Ofcourse pay the bounty first.. Let the best team learn and win.. And then later some evil genius will break both and we learn the hard way that anon in the current context wont work:) atleast according to annonymint.
