heh

that'd be a good outcome to hope for but unlikely to see profitable miners get the same treatment.  Roll Eyes I was giving the guy the benefit of the doubt by saying he's attention whoring, perhaps he's just an idiot who purchased an S1 recently.

I honestly can understand it a little bit.  I have dipped lower then I wanted on trying to sell my Avalon 4.1's.   If I go much lower might be worth sitting on shelf.  But the aggrivation of trying to sell and no one even throwing offers makes me want to follow suit and go crazy with a hammer..... but I am to sane so I will be selling to low.

But really have to give it to the guy for not worrying about making money on sale.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Have you tried oppening an ebay auction? I see that there are even obselote miners there going for much more than they're worth.

Maybe it's a newbie trap. But I see shit like this there often...

I burned an S1 once. It smelled terrible. I put some wood in it, lit a match and... it was in my basement Smiley

Even with last gen it was a pain to get sell.  I had some GREAT buyer's on here and a LOT of low ball offers on here.  Eventually I but lower price then I had hoped on some gear I could not sell on forum, and put up auctions.

When I got to my last miner and it was not going I really wanted to do something like this to it.... but my ROI side has problems losing any extra ROI.

The guy is mental since it was done months ago when the increase in difficulty is not yet changing every 2 weeks or so however with the way things are going to miners, I won't be surprised if someone will do it.

Amazon is the best for selling plus you maximize your profit by twice what stuff goes for on this FOURM. I still sell here but on things people nickel and dime you on I put on Amazon.

The trouble with Amazon or Ebay is returns.  You have a LOT more liability then selling on forums.  On forums great thing is most likely person knows how to mine, so no teaching.   And I LOVE to teach mining, just not a ton in a row when I'm getting rid of previous gen.  Also on forum you get cash without a cut taken out.

If I don't sell for fair price on forum I then go to ebay.  And I do keep in mine ebay fee's and paypal add up, they double dip with taking too fee's.  The crazy thing is they also take fees out of shipping price on Ebay, as some abused it when it had no fee's.   So I have to markup shipping to break even.

On ebay I put up a Buy It Now, that is high for the item.  This allows for offers to come in to me and I can pick someone with good feedback.  I hate selling to new users.

They do in deed double dip or charge a fee for a fee, same thing to me as double dipping . and there so called discounts they get back in other ways they don't lose a thing after my last S5 sells there not again I couldn't believe some of the uness fees they charged me .

btw the Avalon 4.1's i bought off the forums is mining a way i wish i had bought them  back then , i Burt up a breakout board over clocking it to much unless somethng was wrong with that board which i doubt i missed used it by oc to high , those Avalon 4.1's are beasts. saving  for a A6 now ,  i want one just to see how far i can push it.

The odd thing was on last gen the 4.1's were my favorite, they were just so darn quiet.   But when selling last gen it seemed first to sell was Bitmain S5's, second SP 20's, and at last one was Avalon 4.1's it just seemed ebay did not have near as many searching for them.   I was surprised on results.

But it also could have to do with me wanting to sell Avalon 4.1's as a set with RPI.  I did not really want to split it up.  Looking back on the 3 I had I probley should have split up and sold separately.
