What do you mean when you say no technology behind the coin? The Crypto scene is pretty big in the technology side with folks around here. I like that the idea of the coin is to attract new people to the scene because it gets a bit like an echo chamber around here but attracting new traders to Crypto is very difficult. How do you plan on doing this exactly?

What algo?
Were thinking to go with a sha256d algo When people rent these hashes, they will not dump under a certain price. Not concrete yet but its the current favourite. Were open to suggestions.

Ok thanks for the answer. I'm not trying to FUD but a quick look at your previous posts show to me you were schilling for some dubious coins. I actually do like your concept though, particularly the psychology aspect (smart) and attracting newcomers to Crypto. As for me, I seek out and destroy scam devs behind the scenes (Vegas Guy is my latest victim). I have exposed a few coins behind the scenes, one which you were schilling for I might add.

Is not that an algorithm that prefers asic? Noobs start from the CPU and graphics cards. Little noobs has ASIC and money for him. Also, ASIC is not for the masses. Also, you know that the ASIC will never ROI, and that leads to centralization or at least to a small number of users, and so noobs .

We do want to encourage newcomers to do a bit of mining, or earn a few coins via the wallet - but also we have to do it in a way thats not necessary for them to mine because thats to complicated for many. Getting the coin distributed outside of the experienced crypto guys is paramount. But we need the experienced guys to get the ball rolling to. Its a dilemma for sure. This wont be a coin with a billion units or any number close to that. So its not going to be a total free give away type deal. There has to be something in this for the experienced alt coiners. Don't forget, our entire philosophy is about encouraging the newcomers to the scene to trade without the fear. We wont be guaranteeing them they wont lose money. We think we can do this when we point out a few home truths on what they often spend/waste their money on without giving it a second thought. We need to get them thinking 'I lost 30 bucks there' no big deal. Were confident we can do this. We also want them to make 30 bucks of course. Great points you made there though, thanks for that. PS As well as Gailsan I can answer q's to as iI'm on the team

That didn't take long did it. I have nothing to hide thats why I decide to not use a new account. I take it you mean Bitbay. Yes, I was part of Bob Surplus team and I went through the motions of schilling for the coin like the rest of us in the team. However, it was the team he scammed. He was in cahoots with the exchange which none of us knew. He also scammed David Zimbeck and all those that bought the coin during the ICO I found it to be a sickening experience and that is not what me and my partner in this coin is about at all. After that experience we had enough and left the group obviously. NOOBZ really will be a genuine coin for the masses and were going to help them not be scammed. This is all part of the NOOBZ ethos. For those experienced trading it might very well be a worthy investment if we do our PR job properly, which we will. It will need some community involvement of course thats why its being announced here first. Were not out to scam anyone though. This will be made clear enough soon when the roadmap is revealed.AT LAST! Someone being honest for a change. Got your fingers burned by Surplus. Lesson learned I hope. Im from a small group of Bitcoin protectors shall we say. We hunt down scammers and expose them (behind the scenes). Im going to PM you with some important information which you need to read. I believe your legit but perhaps naive so this information may be essential for you. I will provide personal contact details through my real account for you to contact me directly. I like the idea of your coin. There isn't enough of this approach in Crypto. I can tell your a first time developer and I also like to see that. Your going to make mistakes but if you do what you say you can do via social sites I think you can make something great here. The technology behind some of the big coins is superb stuff but mostly useless to the average citizen. Anything that promotes more people coming in to the crypto scene Im all for. Quote NOOBZ is about following the original prime directive and concept of Bitcoin. NOOBZ is about the people who use it, not the developer. The above sentence is what caught my attention.

LEONPATTON - thank you so much for that information you sent. We had no idea and would definitely have fallen in to that trap. Am I allowed to say your a legendary member here since 2010 (of course we would never out you) If you were to publicly support using your legendary account that would be brilliant.

Don't out me. Sorry, I cant support your coin publicly on my real account. The only coin I am loyal to is Bitcoin, its nothing personal. I do however wish you the best of luck with your project for its grass roots approach. This is essentially what Bitcoin was about originally. Get to work and bring in the NOOBS and I guarantee your coin will do well.
Good luck!

We can do this with some simple psychology tactics.
No you can't, not if that's your perception. Cheers Graham

New traders have a tendency to focus on the negative and be hard on themselves when experiencing a loss. We can try and counter this with positive reinforcement and highlighting a more realistic approach to trading. The coin wont make them millionaires but trading it will give them some valuable experience which they can apply to other coins. Bear in mind our main target market is people who probably haven't traded before and we believe they will appreciate the guidance we aim to provide. Some will win, some will lose and it will be made clear to them that losing is an integral part of the experience but not something to fear.
Difficult to describe our plan with text. There will be a lot of visual communication involved once were up and running and do remember NOOBZ is about attracting new people to the Crypto Scene. Were not about the tech, were not looking to scam anyone. Were simply going to promote a positive message that anyone can get in to trading, particularly if they are given some guidance.
Importantly we aim to make it a fun and exciting experience for them

great idea. i got into crypto less than a year ago, and it was a DAUNTING thing. since then, ive jumped in both feet and even went so far as to start learning the programmatic side of things for the coin im on the development team of. (SOILcoin) but, coming into the scene, learning HOW to mine, having to nearly learn a new language just to understand what a lot of the crypto-shorthand was.. there was a lot of trial and error. whole lot more error than anything, really. i love the idea of making it about the users and not the devs, and i applaud your committment to transparency. ill be watching your project with great interest. best of luck!

I hear you loud and clear. The mining side for newcomers was a big concern to us. After some good advice a couple of days ago we have come to the conclusion that our target market shouldn't have to give it a second thought. There are other ways they can get coins but that certainly wont mean were going to be giving hundreds of thousands away to anyone with a Facebook account. Of course we will use some for promotion but the vast majority will end up having to buy their coins one way or another. We might go with some kind of rewards scheme for them to earn small amounts of coins via the wallet, but our backgrounds tell us if people don't invest they care little. After all their not going to be investing their life savings. Were talking a few bucks, they start trading, might win and the scene has captured a new alt coin advocate. Even when they lose our PR side will be there to cushion the blow on a bed of soft pink luxurious pillows Our skill will be bringing new people to the scene using NOOBZ to start their fledgling trading hobby, maybe eventually their career (we will push that). I know, it sounds like were benevolent can do no wrong angels (were not!). Of course we want to make a few bucks as will those who invest in NOOBZ. Were not a charity, but we are fair free marketeers. We do genuinely love the Altcoin scene and want to spread the word. Thanks for your comment.
