I'm looking around for some new music to add to my collection, I listen to pretty much everything. These days I got mostly Trance, House, Techno on my phone but I change the music I carry around regularly. At the moment I'm listening to some absolutely mind-blowing Hardstyle music Seriously guys every single track in this collection is freaking awesome. Would be cool if you guys could share some recent music you thought was out of this world

Yeah I don't mind a bit of hardstyle, but I prefer stuff that's a little less "singy" and more raw. Some of Endymion's stuff is pretty good, like Raging in the Dancehall and Street Fight. Also Gunz for Hire, Plata o Plomo or Bolivia.I'm more of a drum & bass head to be honest, I love neurofunk stuff like this new one by Current Value and Phace: Wild Thing. And of course older stuff by Ed Rush and Optical or Cause 4 Concern etc. I also like real hardcore stuff, PRSPCT recordings are good, artists like The Outside Agency, Deathmachine, The Hard Way, I:Gor etc.

That's not bad at all, but for me the original is better. I know it's a "dance style" cover, but it sounds a little overproduced.

Holy shit, I love this. The bell type sounds are great, ring modulation synthesis I reckon. You might like this guy I just discovered called "The Haxan Cloak", It's a little more ambient than what you posted, and less rhythmic, but very well produced. Works well if you listen to his albums in one go, and make sure your speakers/phones can handle bass... The Haxan Cloak - Excavation - Full Album

I do not hear any music now a days. So life is so hectic. In past, I do hear pop songs that too select light melody songs. Basically I love classic songs. Justin biber was one of my recent favorite star with some rocking music and voice.

To complement the somewhat aggressive music I posted above, here's a gorgeous one hour long dreamscape from Carbon Based Lifeforms, guaranteed to send even professional insomniacs to lala land (possibly even sleep ) Best administered with a pair of headphones and a comfortable couch or bed https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pfvh-sJ7tt4

I guess it is due to growing-up in the late 70s and 80s and coming-up with and seeing such great bands (to me) like Iron Maiden, Motorhead, and Metallica, but I have the hardest time finding anything that really blows me away these days. Two of the few tracks that have recently: Dead Congregation - Teeth Into Red https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GiiGbhaEhHMThis track here is amazing, really great composition by Nokturnal Mortum - Valkyrie https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BtQ0i3oOYdc

I always liked Brutal Truth, it's grindcore more than death metal but very good, one of my favourite tracks: Denial of ExistanceAlso Emperor, Mayhem, Dissection, Napalm Death, Cannibal Corpse and of course Cradle of Filth! But CoF went a bit shit after their first 3-4 albums. I love the album "Dusk and her Embrace", my favourite track is probably Funeral in Carpathia. There doesn't seem to be a lot of new bands that are as good as the older ones, it's a shame but it makes me appreciate the classic stuff more I guess... And after all this gnarly metal shit, I think I should post some more chilling music, this one is haunting... Portishead - Only You

Amazing, I love it. The girl is an awesome vocalist. The whole thing reminds me a bit of Bjork. You might like this band I recently discovered, GoGo Penguin. They're a 3 piece instrumental group with a pianist, drummer and double-bass player, kind of relaxing jazzy stuff but really well done. The drummer does a lot of cool technical breakbeats which anyone into dnb will appreciate. Gogo Penguin - KamalokaGoGo Penguin - HopoponoTheir album called "V2.0" is well worth checking out.

Great stuff, there! Not many people you find are aware of Protector or Massacra, Morbid Angel and VoiVod are also old favorites of mine, Trey Azagthoth has been a major influence on my playing and I liken listening to those old MA albums to religious experiences. I've got to listen to that Death Strike album, I'm a big fan of Speckman's other band, Master but never listened to DS - Paul Masvidal played on the Master album On The Seventh Day...Speckman's comments about that are pretty funny.

The new Vektor album, Terminal Redux, is quickly becoming a favorite of mine - the opening and closing tracks are epic (the album closer, Recharging The Void, channels Pink Floyd's On the Turning Away about 6 minutes into the song - great stuff) and not a weak spot on the album.
