How did you figure that out?  I only looked at the paper work briefly but I didn't notice anything mentioning TRC.

Does anyone know how to contact that person?  They may want to know we exist.

This Terracoin is alive and well.  We are just about to implement DASH's masternode and decentralized governance code.

The other terracoin(s) is probably a yobits scam.

Remember it has to be TRC to be legit.  Not TER, or TERRA(TER has been used twice now for scam coins).

Maybe we can think about Terracoin trademark registration after the masternode system is implemented?

I downloaded the wallet and it says that no block source is available.  Can someone help?  Do I need to create a conf file?

We are having an issue with the seed nodes.  This will be fixed with the next release of the TRC wallet.

In the meantime you can manually add these nodes which cynixali provided.

Some current nodes if you are having trouble connecting:

Just copy and paste each of those into the debug console and it should find peers pretty quick.

Thanks this worked great for me. One other question though. So I sent some trc to my wallet before I updated the blocksource, the blocksource is now updated, and my trc have not arrived. Any advice?

When you say you sent them before the blocksource updated do you mean that you were using the old wallet?  Sent from where?

I looked at this more carefully and what I think it says is that there were two chunks of coins sold.  Exhibit A and Exhibit B.  Exhibit A was sold to someone anonymously and that included the 2+ million Terracoin.  Exhibit B was sold to the guy on the gldtalk.org site and he decided to give away the coins that he didn't want.  This did not include any Terracoin.

So it looks like we won't be able to get that 2+ million Terracoin for easily.

The good news is that if we can get the word out that The Terracoin Foundation exists to whoever bought it then maybe they would be willing to help out.  If you are holding that much Terracoin, then Terracoin succeeding is in your best interest.

Vircurex is on the old blockchain which isn't getting mined so it will never advance.  See if they have some way to cancel an order (since the blockchain hasn't advanced you may be able to).

I have emailed Vircurex at least 10 times asking them to update their wallet and never heard back from them.  I wouldn't use Vircurex for any trading since their site hasn't been updated in at least 6 months.

You may be able to get another coin out of there, but I would check to make sure their block chain is up to date for whatever coin you try.

Who ever has the .8 BTC buy order for TRC on there should immediately cancel it and withdraw their Bitcoin.

Maybe there is no possibility to withdraw BTC from there as well, because there is no Network Gh/sec information for any coin there.
I think that vircurex where sold from Canadian owners to the Chinese one's, and the latest are just trying to keep the site going on until it will give any income without putting any energy into it and than closing it.
Perhaps it might be a good idea to seek help in the Chinese embassy and to find the owners in that way.

June 2nd Update – Hired

We are excited to announce that we have officially hired Ahmed Bodiwala aka Mrbodz to implement the following features:

  * Add all Terracoin specs to DASH code
  * Include all of DASH's features (Decentralized governance, masternodes, instant sent, private send)
  * Have masternodes cost 10,000 Terracoin the first month then go down 1,000 Terracoin per two months until it gets to 1,000 Terracoin
  * Working testnet
  * Help test for a month and a half
  * Windows, OSX, and Linux Wallets

We have great confidence in Ahmed.  He did the original update for The Terracoin Foundation which updated TRC to the Bitcoin .12.1 code, and added merge mining and Dark Gravity Wave.

We have agreed to pay Ahmed $4800 USD (to be converted to an equivalent amount of Bitcoin at the time of payment) and he said he will have the changes completed in two months.

At the end of those two months we plan to run the testnet for a month and half to make sure that everything is working perfectly.

After that the hard fork will happen two weeks later.

That give us 4 months to accomplish as much as possible.

Here are some ideas of things we can accomplish.

  * Spread the word as much as possible
  * Added to another exchange (bitsquare would be awesome)
  * Updated website
  * Guides for new users
  * Weeklys turned into youtube videos instead of posts

Also, in about two months the difficulty readjustment kicks in.  This will cause the block reward to cut down from 20 TRC to 10 TRC.

All of these adjustments to Terracoin make this the best time to spread the word and invest in Terracoin.

Terracoin has never had a brighter future then right now!

Hey, just found this thread.

Have still some old TRC back from early 2013, so I thought I give it a try after I saw that there are other exchanges now beside dead vircurex.
I downloaded the actual wallet but I can find no block source to begin to sync.
I there an actual peers.dat somewhere?
