Great! There is no reason why different cryptocurrency communties cannot work together to help raise awareness of I2P. We all will benefit from this and it has the support of many leaders within the I2P community. If you read Reddit, Twitter or the Monero forums our goal of cross promoting the XMR Stack Exchange Proposal with the I2P proposal is fairly obvious so I won't deny it. However the I2P proposal is completely separate from the Monero proposal so can commit to only the I2P proposal (and not Monero) if you wish. We respect the Verge community and its independence. For the record Riccardo Spagni is also an I2P developer (see the Kovri Github page). |

the electrum server it runs from goes up n down.. still working on it. if you like i can message you next time its up so you can move your coins from it if you need to.. itll be back up 24/7 soon, just needs some more tweaks. |

yeah ive been testing the dedicated-tor wallet, and have started building the i2p dedicated as well.. and thanks, it got pretty crazy last night, had to power down until this morning, and it looks like another band is coming in, so ill probably be powered down tonight as well. |

I had a thought, maybe more like a shadow of an idea not quite formulated, since I do not understand much of the TOR and i2p stuff and how it actually works. It is on my list though, and one of the reasons I gained an interest in Verge.
It seems that XVG is set on being the best crypto in regard to privacy.
That is what it appears the dark web is also for... some privacy.
I imagine you would have to be acting as a peer (if that is the correct terminology) and be on the dark web to use the dedicated TOR or i2p wallets, so why not reward dark web wallet users somehow for keeping the tunnels open with a reward built into those wallets? A reward proportional to the access granted/time open, maybe a special black hole service fee? Something, somehow, to give another reason to use them.
Promoting privacy... by rewarding the access to privacy.
Or maybe I am thinking of something like nodes to run, that you get paid for, that benefit the dark web somehow.
XVG could become, not only the digital currency to use on the dark web, but a currency that helps the dark web function by bringing greater power to it while also being remunerated for that service.

Hey All, Was going through a lot of comments from members & saw a lot of members really being worried about the falling price of Verge. I am a Long term Investor & even I am worried about the thing that Verge is so beaten down. I think we need to put huge efforts to create awareness & market our Coin to the markets. (I am very much aware of the efforts being taken by the Devs & Core team here so no second thoughts about that) Promoting the various features of Verge - "Privacy" the most important of all could change the game for Verge in its favor. I am no expert on Crypto / Blockchain tech so do not understand much of the stuff going on anyways. (Trying to learn a lot each day) However being an Ex Sales / Present Marketing person (From the Electrical & Automation Industry), thats the logic that I could come up with. Any body who has better ideas as to how can we collaborate to make Verge a more visible coin (also offers better returns in the future ) |
