Just throwing out a few ideas.
a) Any thoughts to a facebook tip bot? It seems like you have most of the tech sites covered, but something more main stream, could really do wonders getting us out to the masses. Can you imagine if each person tipped a couple thousand verge to each of their friends. They would all want to see what it is they got. It could go viral...
b) Any way to make the install include I2P or Tor automatically, and have it configured, so non technical people can click once and have a verge wallet with I2P or Tor? I'm pretty tech savvy, but I'll admit I'm not using either I2P or Tor. I installed I2P once, got it working, but never used it again. I'm not sure but I think it was interfering with other things I had running.
Along these lines, if you can easily automatically install I2P or Tor, eliminate the clear net option. This way VERGE is anonymous, not just if you configure it correctly...
c) Does coin2pay keep a vendor list somewhere. In theory all of their vendors accept verge, would be nice if you could point the website to that list.
Love the coin, the idea and all of the work that has gone into this. Now we need to move it from the exchanges into the real world.

a) yes i have thought about it, ill look more into it.. b) yes the next two wallets coming out are an i2p wallet and a tor wallet (they'll have tor/i2p built in) c) that is a good question, ill check that out and report back

I can't sell as I am a top holder and at these prices I lose...and I can't do that!! I am saying the exact same thing you are, don't expect the price to rise just because of halving....that is what I was saying as others are saying (yeah!!! halving, price is going to rise) I was just letting them know not to expect that!! You gotta relax. Everyone single post you make is doom and gloom. I am also a top holder, but I made all my money back and then some on the last big rise and so I'm in for the long haul with my stack. Maybe you bought too high, maybe you bought too much but that's not anyone else's problem. Just relax, if you can't, this might not be for you.

However, if you have bought it in the old times for 1 and 2 sats, you are welcome to sell at current price. However, if you hold, you can get good profits. It will rise.

Welcome. The OP of this post will have links to the wallet you may want to use (for example: windows vs mac). You should be able to download, install, and then open them up and let sync for a while (it may take some time for the sync part though). If you are just trying to just get your coins off of an exchange, you can print a paper wallet and send your coins there. If you do this, and use the Verge paper wallet link, be sure to pick Verge in the drop down menu under the instructions tab, if you go straight to print, it will give you a different wallet. Others will probably post some more thorough instructions, but these may give you enough to start.

No, want a desktop wallet, no paper ;-) BTW, is Verge available for staking? thanks for the little guidance. Will see if I can install smoothly

Verge has a very active and accessible developer, which is one of the things that I like seeing in a currency. Verge is not a staking coin. It uses Proof of Work, using five different algorithms to help make the blockchain run smoothly and give different options to mine.

How tough would it be to have 2FA in a wallet for withdrawals? This is something that I haven't ever seen.

Yes, that was what I was referring to. Would be a cool feature that I'm not sure anyone else has tried yet.

In my opinion every qt wallet should have 2fa as a basic feature, because, we all know, how toxic is this crypto environment.

In my opinion every qt wallet should have 2fa as a basic feature, because, we all know, how toxic is this crypto environment. I was thinking though the 2FA might not work unless it could be associated with the wallet.dat file itself. Otherwise, an attacker would just need to copy the wallet.dat and then open it with a wallet of their own. So even if you needed 2FA to open the wallet on your particular pc, I think you would still be vulnerable to your wallet.dat being stolen and then cracked. I honestly have no idea if it's possible to add a secret key from 2FA to the wallet.dat but I'm guessing if someone does it's dogedarkdev.

Because otherwise, you could just install the desktop wallet on a regular computer, copy the wallet.dat file into it and have access, no?
