I think A_MCGriff nailed it. https://dzone.com/articles/what-blockchain-can-do-for-the-internet-of-thingsRegarding Darkdev`s link, I think that securing IOT end nodes is not the job of the blockchain and some solution needs to be developed to secure them and allow IOT to mature. Once end nodes are secured, (Verge) Blockchain can allow micro payments/ smart contracts between them. transactions will be also secured, Verge combo public ledger/ but 127.0.0.1 would fit great here imo. I think suppliers need to have verge/other crypto functionality already installed in E-sim(for cars) or fridge software/ other device etc, not their customers/average Joe. maybe they are going to use more blockchains , each one for specific services; great if Verge would be used for microtransactions. Here we need the b2b partnerships that verge would need to win in order to get more adoption. In an interview you mentioned that once you guys deploy a couple of more things (including RSK) you are going to go out and sell more the benefits of Verge. But you also said you are not going to approach it as "door to door", like selling vacuum cleaners and that everyone should come to the "crypto shop" and look around. In my opinion, a coin is located in the "crypto shop"when it is present in the industry - conferences/youtube/blogs/blockchain events and once this is done, individual companies will come to look and choose between verge and X coin to run it through their ecommerce platform etc. if not , verge does not exist in comparison with the other coin competitors. I`d love to see a plan to build partnerships, maybe employ people for biz dev, but i dunno how getting funding will work out if VC money is out of the question. Thanks for replying to my comment & apologies for not being clear enough, English is not my 1st language. BTW, great move with the interviews, this is how people will trust verge even more.

What are the methods of staking in VERGE? (staking/mining/masternode)
And what are the minimum coins needed for each of the methods?
Also, is there a known fee reward (estimation) or a calculator?
I am thinking to get into the VERGE world.

we do not use Proof of Stake, and we do not have centralized masternodes either.

I apologize if youve been asked this often but when is the estimated date of RSK contracts?
the date revolves around when RSK completes them for bitcoin

So for the windows wallet I just wanted to confirm,
1.I don't have to encrypt it if I don't expect anyone stealing my computer.
2.And If I backup the wallet (via . dat file ) in another safe place I can just restore the wallet if my computer gets destroyed in a fire or whatever?

any chance the supply will get a cut in the future, i think what is holding back this wonderful coin, is the immense supply, if it can be reduced to million instead of billion would be better imho, i know it require a hard fork but its worth the risk

The Linux electrum wallet doesn't work. It is stuck on syncing. When I try to access the network options, the app gets stuck. Doesn't move. Where is it possible to store the XVG tokens? The web wallets are not fine for various reasons. The MACOSX wallet is unusable. Windows electrum is only for 64bit os. There is assortment of wallets on the site, but I don't know where to store. I know I am a noob, but all the other wallets I have work and the coins are properly stored. Storing and creating the conditions for storing should be priority #1. Please give instructions on how to make things work.

i've already asked that, and at best they can cut 10% because only 20% is remaining now, so doersn't make sense to cut it, and i agree, i changed my mind on this one, just let investors decide if this coin is worth more or not, now this coin is old, so maybe some new features can be added to keep it fresh

I put aside my all coins after buying at 60 satoshis few weeks ago. It is going to be one of the best decision taken by me ever. I don't care of current permanent moving price because team is working so they deserve few months of time to complete whatever they want to do. I am long on this one. Just remember some coins how worth they became in matter of months.

This gets brought up a lot but I think we need to realize that the crypto market is still VERY young and small ($100B) and while million cap coins make sense for what the market is handling right now (most coins <$1B cap) in order to scale with a growing market cap and still have ability for microtransactions, billion cap coins will be the new norm (especially if you look at how quickly crypto can and most likely will grow in the coming year). lets get smart contracts into Verge and we can build apps and other coins using XVG which will end up growing Verge even larger and faster than just people buying and using it as simply a currency.

IMO, divisibility always needs to be considered. It is divisibility that makes a currency not need to have a huge supply.

Is that Verge QT for osx the electrum version? Only getting 1 connection, not seeing how many blocks it is downloading? Keeps out of sync!
same here... ;/ trying to sync for 3 days now try syncing bitcoin, takes over a week lol you can go to vergecurrency.de and download the chain instead. there's even instructions there. Hey man. So i downloaded the Verge-qt wallet. I generated a second wallet address within the wallet. I had sent my XVG from Bittrex to the wallet before it finished syncing. Once it finished syncing the wallet address disappeared and went back to having 1 receiving address and my balance is 0. I can find my transfer transaction in the blockchain explorer but now I'm wondering if my coins are lost? Also now the wallet doesn't even want to open. I have a few other alt coin wallets and everything has went smooth with the coins. But I'm having major problems with Verge. any ideas?? I have almost a million coins
