Hi guys. Im new to this and planning on buying and Hold for a while.
I have a quick question: Whats the difference between Core and Electrum Wallets??

@Yulian07 I believe the for the core wallet, you'll need to download the blockchain. The Electrum wallet connects to servers that have the blockchain so you don't have to download it. Personally I like prefer to run 'core' wallets but i have to admit I never used the Electrum wallet.

About the future price:

Given the Verge coin count of 14.3 billion:

- at 0.00001000 BTC (1000 satoshi) , XVG would currently have a market cap of 2.3 billion $, which would make it the #16 cryptocurrency.
- at 1$, XVG would have a market cap of 14.3 billion $, which would currently make it the #6 cryptocurrency, just after LTC.
- at $1000... well, that would be nonsense.

Personally, I think Verge is a great cryptocurrency that would definitely deserve a #16 ranking (so: 1000 satoshis or about x15 from where we are today).

Once people realize that an open ledger (the blockchain) means 'no privacy', they will start looking for privacy-oriented coins like Verge. And it does a great job at that.
Behind the scenes a lot of development is going on, making it an even better coin in the future.

Don't believe the FUD (fear, uncertainty & doubt) and always DYOR (do your own research).
Thank for the response @CrunchyCrypto. I downloded the Electrum wallet and sent some coins from a exchange but have not receive it. Any suggestion?

PS: I don't listen to negativity.
Thanks for the advice and trust me i don't pay attention to nonsense.

Can someone please tell me how cal I sync my Core wallet with the Electrum?
I downloaded the core and sent some coins there but I didnt download the blockchain or should i just keep the core?

Close your electrum.

(if you have a balance...then do different)

maybe send coins to your Core qt wallet for now.

Electrum itself had an issue.    I think they are patching. (see the Bitcoin forum NEWS)

ALL electrum wallets were/are affected.

I am using and have tested:

Coinomi
the Windows QT download.  (i forget anything else..)

maybe search my post back a page or 2... i talk about this.

(i dont know anything about Electrum, just what i read in the news posted in Bitcoin Forum...look above the HOME button!)

In recent past, all mainstream medias talked about VERGE. No any other coin get that attention like that so i believe in XVG. Hope they would announce officially then no one can stop XVG. I have no IT knowledge. anway, complete slow out put is better than incomplete faster out put.

For all the haters that were pushing that centralized sh*t coin ripple on this thread how is it looking now??  lol

Why anyone would want to be in a centralized coin that can literally freeze your money is insane to me.

I'm glad people are waking up and educating themselves. Stay away from centralized coins!

Privacy coins will always win. Ripple is sh*t. Keep spreading the link around. https://ripple.com/files/GB-2014-02.pdf

Wow, already such a big partnership. Good news! If you keep this up once the project is on exchanges, it will generate a lot of hype.

by EL   does that mean Electrum?

if so.. Dont use Electrum at this time.

(wait for Offical announcement)

use :

Coinomi (andriod/iphone)
Windows QT desktop wallet. (dl the blockchain seperately, faster)

I havent tested the Linux/mac versions.  i would GUESS that the qt versions for those (desktop) would be ok as well.

hi guys, quick question, is the verge electrum wallet having the same vulnerability issues as the electrum wallet from a couple of days ago?
if so, is it patched already? if not, when will it be patched?
i have been downloading the qt wallet but it's taking so much space, really prefer to stick with electrum wallet instead.

I too would rather see it go up 1000x lol But the behaviour of this coin seems to be a more mature than most others, with people holding the coin because of the prospects of the project and don't panic when they see digits in red.
I read in other thread from the communities of similar coins, requesting something like wraith to be implemented for their coin.
So, normally these 2 factors should keep the coing growing overtime, by giving the investor the security of investing in a project which is safe and has something to offer.

Ripple is going another direction, more mainstream. not so much a crypto currency-ish... Huh

We'll me, I already sold my old stack of verge coins, that I accumulate since July. Then but now, before the release of the full version of the wraith protocol, I bought another batch of verge coin. I'm looking forward for another x10 of verge coin at minimum price increase.

looks like the general market condition has a little effect on the price of verge. I m still looking at it for more growth as altcoins rebound.

I might be interested in obtaining another stack of verge. Maybe now that full wraith is released. We might see hype again.
