I am pretty excited with the hard fork news at block 1,824,150. Hopefully everything will go according to plan.
Can someone please explain what exactly will happen here? Do we get a new coin? Will more coins be issued? No and No. They are just updating the protocol. The blockchain will continue on a new chain. No new coins are being issued. The old chain will stop functioning at the time of the fork. All coins remain the same. Nothing lost, nothing gained. Good to hear that there's nothing for us to worry about. If you have your coins on a major exchange they will take care of everything. We won't even notice anything changing. |

Forks are normal in crypto. Some coins fork on a schedule just to keep the codebase updated. There is nothing to worry about and your coins are safe. I wish people buying into Verge would educate themselves on how blockchains work and there would not be endless questions like this that come across very naive. You would think that people investing in a technology would take a little time to educate themselves on how blockchains work and what a normal fork is. This is being done by the Verge devs. It is not a hostile fork like Bitcoin Cash where other devs are forking to make a new coin. |

one sudden day this coin will reach $1 and than jump more like xrp and cnd did. That time everyone will praise this coin, now they will not understand.
That is not impossible. It could be just a matter of time. Verge is already one of the biggest coins out there. |

Same here.. deposits from yesterday and today are not showing in balance as pending. Is it a matter of Cryptopia ?? what about pools? Is it safe to keep mining, i.e. at Suprnova? It should be fine. When the fork is over and they have updated their wallet your coins should be there. Since the fork has not happened yet you can be assured your coins are still on the main chain. I would not mine until the fork is over and at least 500 to 1,000 blocks have been created. Most pools will go into maintenance mode until the fork has successfully occurred. |

XVG is one of the best anonymous coins, if you think monero is anonymous think again. People are very good at hyping a coin when the price is up and soon as the price falls they spit sh**t on a crypto, it's amazing!

what diff wraith makes? Verge was already anonymous BEFORE wraith. Wraith is a nice feature, makes the Anonymous aspect Controllable. it is NOT the anonymous feature. Tor and I2P accomplish that. (from what i get, since the beginning anyway) |

Not sure if anyone already posted but you can now trade XVG on the new and upcoming decentralized exchange, Cryptobridge. It is the safest exchange out there as the exchange do not have access to your wallet keys, only you have control of your coins!
