Hello everybody. Bitrex now excludes many coins. Earlier the exchange was excellent, now unfortunately the exchange has deteriorated. I hope this is temporary. Good luck to all.

XVG was always popular on 'trex, i guess they are just updating... maybe check a bit later...

This makes no sense at all. Someone can argument about the value of a coin, its propose, its security, its whatever, but wishing such popular coin like Verge/XVG to get delisted from exchanges makes 0 sense.

I somehow struggle to get access to my ~700 coins that I have in a paper wallet.

First I tried Electrum-XVG, but either is shows "Not connected" all the time or - when I enter a server manually - it shows my balance, but the transactions look weird:

I think this is not how it should look like. Then I tried the v4 Windows Wallet which takes days to load the blockchain. When it's finished, the balance is - of course - 0 as there is a new wallet created  by default.
So I tried to import my wallet via console, but this also does not work properly. My wallet address is added to the list of receiving addresses, but the balance remains 0.

I'm lost guys, can somehow please help and explain how I get my coins accessible in a wallet?

fork went smooth guys!

average block time is ~37 seconds again.. no large amounts of scrypt blocks being inserted with 0 difficulty.

android wallets have already been updated on the back end, there is nothing you need to do.

new 4.0.2 version mac wallets are online and can be downloaded here: https://github.com/vergecurrency/VERGE/releases/download/4.0.2/VERGE-Qt-4-7-2018.dmg

windows wallets will be posted shortly.

as far as i know, most pools have updated, and i confirmed that bittrex and binance have both updated as well.

Thanks for the link, that fixes the connection issue, but I still see these unverified transactions even after setting up everything from scratch. Don't know what this is, why are they not verified?!?

In fact yesterday April 7th XVG moved $ 871 million NO Exchange wants to loose that kind a percentage.

By the way rumors are saying that the huge partnership is Litepay because Litepay Broke up with Litecoin.
If this is right wow XVG will be to the moon soon

I tried sending small amount to paper wallet and it worked - showing on explorer.
Like a 4 cylinder car running on 3 - rough, but gets you there. It is obvious that
blockchain is still new tech! What I don't understand is why DOGE has not had the
same hack since xvg was a doge clone. Also, since this open source code was
probably copied from doge parent, why has that coin not been hacked?

Go back and look at the OP and you tell me how XVG code would resemble DOGE code at this point in time. This coin is far more advanced than DOGE ever was. Things change, grow and improve. Remaining stagnant in crypto is akin to being dead.

Right...but what I was thinking is the exploitable flaw has been around since dogedark,
the last four years or before, but you seem to be saying xvg was 'improved' to contain this
flaw, based on current events. I in no way claim to know anything about how this all works,
just saying how it looks to me. I read recently that one wrong letter in a line of code allowed
a coin to be exploited. I think as crypto gets more valuable we will see flaws found and exploited,
hacks, reported more and more, until the tech matures. Due to recent rise xvg is more than a
third of my holdings, but a few months ago I got some ADA because I read PHDs were reviewing
the code. I don't know if that means anything because I watched a review that said despite this
ADA code was flawed. Looks very much like this tech needs more time to be reliable.
