Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

Any paper wallet link for XVG please ?

The link below shows 404 - not found.

https://vergecurrency.com/paper-wallet/index.html

This one is also not working -
https://github.com/vergecurrency/vergecurrency.com/raw/master/paper-wallet/xvg-paperwallet.zip
Maybe the generator needs to be updated due to fork?
Just went to site and could not find paper wallet link.
If so I'd like to know before I use the old one unzipped on dedicated laptop.

XVG is doing pretty nicely. I have been passively holding this for a while but really been following the updates. Are there any major things coming up on the horizon for XVG?

Check out the discord and the subreddit and you will see that we are 1 week away from a huge partnership announcement.  That is whats driving the price atm.

Any reason why Windows Defender is detecting all kinds of trojans with the new Windows wallet?

*edit* I see the links to the "new version" have been deleted.  I take it that means I now have a virus?

I'm not sure. Sometimes, wallets have false positives all the time. Miners show up as false positives too.

Well is this link to the new Windows wallet legitimate?

https://mega.nz/#F!SLIAAJ7I!ohfk9eH6is4AD-mBZdwh4Q

I don't see it on here any more.  I got a bunch of virus messages when I installed it.

No one in their right mind is going to click that link. It could be a virus and hijack a person's computer. If you didn't get the wallet from their github, you shouldn't download it.

Only place to get their wallet would be from their github or website.

why would you think anything else would be safe?

Why do people install wallets from these "alternate" links? You can lose more than just Verge if you have other wallets on your computer and not encrypted.

Buy a Trezor and Protect your BTC, BCH, BTG, DASH, LTC, DGB, ZEC, ETH and ETC from hackers.

your post isnt clear.    (about your direction)

are you saying that ... you dont get how ppl use random install links...

or that it doesnt matter if you have other wallets...that arent encrypted.  (which wouldnt make sense, but thats what it sounds like)

?

Was trying to say if you use an infected wallet and you have other wallets on your computer that are not password protected (encrypted) those coins can be stolen too. As easy as a trojan, etc. grabbing the wallet.dat file and sending it away. So my point is why would anyone use some random link to install a wallet and not use from the official website or official github only.

can someone share the mining results in dual with RX AMD 4GB cards please
I am making 50% less than is written on whattomine  Huh entering my hashrate on the site, the site is calculating almoat a double more than I am getting from the pool...

...Yeah, I was contributing 7Gh/s with my Asic's and was getting around 50% as well. I switched back, to Litecoin. Then a day later I thought I would try one more time...nope, same thing. I got to wondering, theoretically, can a pool steal half of your hashing power? As in, could some of your hashing profits be diverted into another payout address belonging to the diverter? I'm not accusing any particular pool, but it got me thinking anyways...
