The partner is going to be supporting Verge Currency by rolling out a global marketing campaign with continuous marketing effort throughout the year.
While there is no garantee it is mindgeek of course it would fit into it:
- Owns indeed one of the larger payment processors for all its pornsites.
- Processes a huge amount of other porn sites (businesses).
- Global Marketing Campaign. Thats where a lot of mindgeeks income comes from, advertising on their porn network.
- The Advertising Campaign than would as make sense for the collected funds, just the price for that campaign.
Upon having both parties coming to a consensus we on the Verge Currency team quickly set out to make this deal a reality. The task at hand was to raise a whopping 75,000,000 XVG to cover the following:
1. Cost of integrating into their extensive network of payment gateway and websites.
2. A massive marketing campaign to span the globe.
3. International press releases and news coverage.
4. Ledger nano/Trezor hardware integration.
1.) I doubt integration into the payment gateway will happen if mindgeek is the "partner", because of the age verification needs a credit card provides. At very best for recurring memberships, but .... i have my doubts.
2.) This makes sense.
3.) International press releases/news coverage? If its mindgeek i doubt we will find some news on BBC or CNN.
4.) Why not, there should be some bucks left from the crowdfund to cover that 100 times.
If its mindgeek, i'am not sure how to think about it. Good, bad? Better than a scam, worse than many other things. No idea, maybe its indeed best just to wait some more hours. Actually if there is a partnership its interesting to see if its a partnership, sponsorship or just verge being a client.
