That looks promising! Has it anything to do with the latest vendors and partnerships? More transactions must mean more users of the blockchain. XVG still delivers so much more than other mediocre companies.

hello all,
there is a bug! Or the project changed its targets...
The block reward 'halving' did not happen. As sheduled it should have happend at block 3528000. We are at block 3533182 and still the reward is 730! If the chain will continue like this, all coins will be outmined soon.
My recent post as on was May 30, 2019, 11:48:44 AM was:
.... the last coin will be mined approximately on 01.12.2019, this is 185 days from now. What is the plan to raise the value of the coin before the mining reward will drop to zero. As i understand, the only reward will then be the fee for the transaction? I think most miners will stop mining from one day to another and the network might fall apart.
Are there enough activities to raise the value of the coin before the last coin will be mined?

we have a new halving schedule in place to extend the remaining supply over the next 6 years. we did a poll on twitter, and the proposal is on our github.
As for now:
Unfortunately, nothing changed in september! As i tracked the mining progres, the 'halving' from 730 to 123 should have happend on 18th of october 2019. Just a few days ago. Nothing so far, here is the blockchain information:
20th of october 11:39 '3533123' Blocks, '16003257749.120619' coins
20th of october 11:49 '3533135' Blocks, '16003266509.120619' coins
20th of october 11:59 '3533151' Blocks, '16003278189.120619' coins
20th of october 12:09 '3533182' Blocks, '16003300819.120619' coins
That is still 730 coins per block, an average of 1460 per minute. There are roughly 551692611 coins left before the last verge is mined. That is nearly 262 days from now left. I am concerned about a plan about the missing of miners after that day? (If the price per coin does not increase dramatically). A little more concerned i am about the team of the project,
why did this 'halving' not happen?

Amazing project with an amazing team, this coin has changed peoples lives for the better and the vision is amazing, xvg will be a digital currency that has the potential to reach the masses long may the hard work of the team continue.
