What now...sell or hold TrumpCoin ?

Hold... You never know what tomorrow will bring. We can get the wallets synced and make the block explorer transparent without chiken65 trump is open source and new devs can cooperate and takeover easily. Its not to hard we just need to work together theres no reason to start a new coin or bail on this one we have something golden here and we have come so far to just quit cuz of some weak hands and FUD.  If lucky7 wants to start a new coin thats fine and i may even buy on the ground floor but we have a trumpcoin here that is still on the launchpad. That million dollar marketcap can be back as soon as we straighten this little issue out and then we will go beyond 1 million to 6 million and possibly even 12 million and beyond. The sky is not the limit. People who hokd and buy this dip will be rewarded greatly.

Bitinator is actually absolutely correct. We can still fix it. If the original devs refuse to help, we can, as a community agree to officially fork and take back control. That is the beauty of open source and decentralization. I have a personal copy of every version of both the V1 and V2 sources. I recommend that anyone that knows how to fork a copy of the GIT do so now, in case it does get taken down by the owner(s).

It's not too late and we can recover from this situation one way or another. I hope that it happens in a peaceful and professional way.

Signal7, there is no question you did the right thing.  I hope you are wrong too!  And just so you know moral courage is harder to find than battlefield courage.  

     There was just recently a similar situation over at fedora coin thread at bitcoin talk forum.  Yesterday I was helping one of the guys there sell some of his fedora coins because we are trying to raise money because they needed to make a new wallet because they were having the selfish mining attack.
  So signal7 is correct I think that this attack has a work around if there is false private chains being introduced to fake out the miners into following them.  The guy charged 1 bitcoin for the service and he really did it for less because we could not get the money.  Now we are trying to get it on yobit and do a windows wallet (should be ready in a week).  I won't mention the change at the wallet level that was made.  They went through a few devs over the months and weeks that may have even been in on it but hard to tell.  I wanted to help fix it because I lost some to cryptsy too.  Also, one of the exchanges was also selling the bad fedoras too.  So the good news is all of the fedoras were still usable I am told as of this week with the new wallet.  It only took the guy a few days to do the work.

     I wanted to make my own coin and I originally thought to avoid this attack to use the bitcoin network since it is very strong and robust and the 25% attack is not feasible.  This is how Scotcoin works.  Problem is I do not like counterparty wallet so I stopped when I found Trumpcoin.  Plus the counter party fees are higher.  But the risk may be worth it now since it is resistant to the 25% attack.   Another down side is the transactions take as long as they do with bitcoin or slightly longer in my opinion.
   I will invite everyone to consider a new coin in addition to fixing this existing coin.  Watch my future posts.  I currently have only posted here (trumpcoin) and in franccoin and fedoracoin.  Soon when I start a coin I will hope to see some folks from around here to be involved with something special.
       First few times I spoke with Chickens65 he told me he thought I should just start my own coin because of how much passion I had.  I tried to be involved here and I am still doing so.  I will still make whatever assistance is needed to help out here.  But as of right now I will be doing a few new coins to continue the dream I had in Trumpcoin.  One of which will be a super pac type coin.  The only thing that will make me cancel this coin is if these issues get straightened out with Trumpcoin.

the problem here is chicken's attitude about the whole thing and what has come forth around his other actions the last weeks. not very reassuring at all.

At this point you should not be suprised if the trumpfund no longer exists. I hope it does and i think it would be in everyones best interest, but i'm far from sure. this just confirms everything about transparency before everything though. you cannot build something as big as this was becoming without it. for that reason it was bound to fall back down to these levels before issues get resolved.
