Unfortunately mining KR just isn't profitable right now. I know the argument of mining something with hopes that it shoots up in the future. But right now, it's definitely more profitable to mine ethereum and if you want to invest in KR, sell off that ETH and get some KR. Hour for hour and day for day, mining something else yields more dollar value which can be used to purchase even more of something you would've mined that you want to invest in.
Getting at most $1.00 / day on each R9 280X card. Ethereum yields $2.50
250% more mining ethereum. I'll do that and pick up some krypton. Do well covertress.

This shows that KR is undervalued True. But in the bright side, I think that the limited supply of KR should have a nice effect in price for long term. This makes KR very scarce, and what it's scarce usually makes it very valuable. I think the best bet for now would be to buy more cheap KR instead of mining them.

Yeah agreed. People can't afford to mine this right now. In some places, it costs more power to mine. They wouldn't even break even.

So now the value should start going up because miners who want kr will need to buy it.

Mine the most profitable Coin and flip it for Krypton. This takes Coins off the Market and drives the Price up until its profitable enough to mine KR directly. Simple as that.
Becoming the first ETH based Coin that offers POS only instead of POW should benefit KR aswell. Maybe that is the Key?
No burned Laptop Victims anymore.
Just some thoughts.

Glad you are very interested into Krypton. Welcome aboard mate! Rest assured that this will be the best investment you will ever make as things will get pretty exciting once the coin gets added to big exchanges like Bittrex and Poloniex. Also, the limited supply of this coin (when compared to ETH and its other clones) will definitely be a big boost towards its value.

Once actual dapps come out or what ever it is that's going on behind the scene, then we will see a real spike in the price. To be honest there aint too many on the market on sale as it is, so will be interesting to see how it goes.

The limited supply makes kr a worthwhile buy at this price.

Hi Covertress, while I think your Krypton digital currency may be interesting, and I bought some coins too, I came across a bunch of articles on the world wide web, each arguing interesting technical and non-technical conclusions on the emerging blockchain topic, and, in case some or all of them should not be of your knowledge, I thought they might be of interest to you, and to your staff and your projects. Here are the articles: "A simple model to make sense of the proliferation of distributed ledger, smart contract and cryptocurrency projects" by Richard Gendal Brown https://gendal.me/2014/12/19/a-simple-model-to-make-sense-of-the-proliferation-of-distributed-ledger-smart-contract-and-cryptocurrency-projects/"A Simple Model for Smart Contracts" by Richard Gendal Brown" https://gendal.me/2015/02/10/a-simple-model-for-smart-contracts/"Bitcoin as a Smart Contract Platform" by Richard Gendal Brown https://gendal.me/2015/03/30/bitcoin-as-a-smart-contract-platform/"What is the 'irreducible core' of Bitcoin?" by Richard Gendal Brown https://gendal.me/2014/01/25/what-is-the-irreducible-core-of-bitcoin/"Bitcoin Mining: The First Technology Platform That Works because it goes SLOW?" by Richard Gendal Brown https://gendal.me/2014/05/21/bitcoin-mining-the-first-technology-platform-that-works-because-it-goes-slow/"Towards a Unified Model for Replicated, Shared Ledgers" by Richard Gendal Brown https://gendal.me/2015/06/08/towards-a-unified-model-for-replicated-shared-ledgers/"Quick notes on Sidechains “Elements”" by Richard Gendal Brown https://gendal.me/2015/06/10/quick-notes-on-sidechains-elements/"A simple explanation of Bitcoin “Sidechains”" by Richard Gendal Brown https://gendal.me/2014/10/26/a-simple-explanation-of-bitcoin-sidechains/"Blockchain is where banks have the most obvious opportunity. Anyone know why its creates a third sometimes 4th dag file of all 0's? Says "unknown" while its making it. Their over 1gb big & I just delete it when its done. Just curious why it does this because it takes twice as long for no apparent reason.

Couldn't agree more with you mate. I have a strong feeling that dapps will definitely have a positive effect in this price of this coin, as long as there would be interesting dapps and enough interest into it. Also, the limited supply of Krypton makes this a true gem among other dapp platforms. Smart contracts/dapps are the next big thing. Get ready to ride the Krypton train real soon.

See my post about it here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1368118.msg14617663#msg14617663 When you have GKR and the KR QT wallet set up properly, you will see your mined coins appear in your wallet. Everything happens in GKR. The QT wallet is just a nice gui interface to GKR. Make sure that GKR is fully synced before mining. If you would like some real-time help with mining, please come to Krypton's slack and ask for @cakes or @pltrdy. Click here for a self-invite to Krypton's slack >> slackinc955.azurewebsites.net Hope to see you there.

If your CPU mining then I would make sure this is on PC and not laptop. Never EVER mine laptop too much stress gets put on CPU and GPU on laptops and can often cause over heating and in worse case above where someone melted their laptop. At most PC can handle it so long as have good cooling and have the system for it. Laptop good for wallets but not for mining stick to desktop for mining or look at renting hash power or building a rig for mining.
