Goodbye Krypton


Dear Krypton Community,

Our lead developer, Krypton-Dev, has quit to join another crypto project, one backed by a Chinese firm.

While Krypton-Dev and I disagree on fundamental ideologies (Me: “America First”, He: “I trust China more than the US.”) I understand that they are paying him well and I wish him the best of luck.

Though I was able to modify an existing block explorer to suit Krypton’s needs, my programming skills are too out-of-date to take over as Krypton’s lead developer and proceed with the complete re-write that this project requires.

Additionally, since Krypton was always a volunteer project and has no development funds donated from the community, it is impossible to find a qualified developer who will work for free. I too can no longer afford to support this project as a full-time job.

So, I am quitting also. I am taking an early retirement from crypto entirely, not only at the request of my doctor, but of my family.

Having always been an open-source project, all Krypton code will remain available to the community on my GitHub account: https://github.com/covertress

Of special importance is the block explorer if anyone from the community wants to take over this project. The explorer is not funded and will shut down sometime this month without hosting.

I’m sorry that Krypton seems to be ending this way. I hope that someone will step in with the skill and drive to see the project continue. In my new quest for a stress-free and better quality life, that person is not me.

After years in the tech sector, for engineering, entertainment, travel & finance companies, I’ve turned my focus to blockchain and building a startup, Krypton, to help companies realize their distributed applications.

KR is my vision for an ultra-fast, public and open source blockchain that employs all of the distributed technology of Ethereum, namely smart contracts, dAPPs, DACs and DAOs, with the best security features of the Bitcoin protocol.

The practical-use cases for this technology are set to explode, from smart contracts for business systems to custom blockchain solutions for FinTech and Internet of Things devices.

Krypton is seeking Tier 1 financing and then will be hiring client and language developers to rewrite the KR client in the most secure language, C, and also to code a new smart contract language to replace Solidity, ultimately making KR the best public blockchain solution available.

The buy-up of GAIA prior to this announcement would be insider trading, and illegal in hell in regulated markets, but this is crypto, so there is no rule and nobody to enforce any supposed moral corollary.

Bottom line Covertress is quite active in the space so aside from finding an economical way to fund her dev team with earnings potential, I would trust that she is going to follow through with this to a point. Trust enough to trade on it, anyway.

She is popular on twitter with crypto for a while, so not just some girl. She lends credit to starting a coin, I just don't think GAIA should have anything to do with it. She should have just paid for devs or gave them some premine. But any case I may play a little bit due to her reputation.

REFRESHING, not only CJ is well known in crypto world, but a fine lady covertress she is. REALLY, REALLY REFRESHING and finally a woman behind a coin and she is not hiding.

Now you have to decide, buy GAIA and change for KR, or wait out. After swap, KR will be offered for a 6000sat. You don't need to buy anything, nor gaia holder are forced to swap anything. So many options, and of course you'll have to brainstorm a little bit more, than in other coins.
