Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Be aware that 8 GB of that 10 GB are likely just SatoshiDice transactions bouncing back and forth. Removing that from the datasets will leave you with not very much to work with.
