By the way, serious question and all joking aside, does the Avalon Team need more time to fine tune things? Do you think you got a quality product out (no regrets or anything)?

Hang on, I though you worked for Avalon?

Incorrect.

BitSyncom clearly states that there will be a unit shipped to Jeff Garzik and a unit shipped to Bitcoin Foundation. That's two units sent.

Is this a math fail, Tinua, or did you just not read the post?
300 units ordered and paid!
- 1 for Jeff = 299 units left for shipping

The unit for Bittcoin Foundation is a free unit!
Thats my math.

A unit that is free to the Bitcoin Foundation is still paid for by someone - in this case by Avalon. Bitcoin doesn't grow on merkle trees, you know.

Well why the hell has he been such a goose this whole time?  He's just a fanboy in an avalon t-shirt?!

Congratulations to the Avalon team.  In spite of the competitive banter, we've always had respect for the capability of NGzhang & co.  kudos for your achievement.

That was humble.  Thumbs up Smiley

Now I hope all this trolling bullcrap will come to an end, and we can get on with mining bitcoins, buying bitcoins, selling bitcoins, and exchanging bitcoins!

No DobZombie, I don't think it will. But thanks for the belly laugh.

HAHAHA
If they have paid order for 300 units and give one extra for free, it means they ship 301 units and have still 299 left, you know!

AVALON have said that they have sold 300 pieces.
So they have to send 301 units.
Or do you think that they send you an mail and say "Sorry organofcorti, we have given away 1 piece, now you get only 4 units instead of the 5 ordered" ?

Beside, what we are arguing here is BS.
I think there are more important things to discuss, don't you think?  Wink

Too true. I shouldn't let this sort of thing get my goat. If you see it, let me know.

So, more importantly: BitSyncom, you may have missed this:

Ah, fantastic.

When is the re-up? The site isn't taking the next batch of orders yet.

We see no reason to hold your money while we ship the first batch of units, not to mention CNY.

We will take orders soon as we feel we have adequately taking care of streamlining shipping of the first batch.

How about updated specs? I'd like to post a new ASIC choices.

Any comments? PM me if you don't want specs to go out early, I'd just like to be able to post new charts as soon as you're ready to make the specs official.

I wonder how long it will be to ship all 300?  Mine # 200000174 still says "Bitcoin Payment Completed".

I think I heard 2 weeks for the first batch of 300.

Congrats to the Avalon team and to their customers! When Avalon first announced their asic, i thought WTF? too late! Guess the customers with faith really knew what they were doing, and who they were dealing with. I'm sooo jealous now, you guys should have a good amount of time to rake in the btc exclusively. Grin

It says the whole thing is the order number.  I assume they began at 200m for some reason.

the 2 most likely indicates an order placed in 2012. The next batch (placed in 2013) will likely have a "3" at the front
