Are there currently efforts to hunt down (for example) Big Vern, and the guy (Danny?) from Neo and Bee? Just asking...
What is the "proper" Libertarian view on dark markets that offer bounty hunters/ vigilante justice? You would need a way to be certain the person is guilty, before subjecting them to a "free market" justice system.
Any thoughts on how those would work in a free society? and/or do they actually exist now?
Edit: 3/7/16 I am not looking to hire someone. There must be a few 'Ancaps' left around here? If there is ever to be a "free market" justice system, then how does it work in the real world?

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Hmm, I don't want to overthink that. I could imagine easily enough a chaotic Wild West of "justice" by the pissed-off adept. Would a bounty hunter know or care if his target were innocent?
For me, I think that I'll just stay away from the dark markets, nothing I want there anyway.

If you were certain the person was guilty then that should be good enough for typical through-the-court-system justice, wouldn't you think? Siccing a hired hitman on a scammer doesn't depend on justice, it depends on how much money you have. And yes they're available, but I would have no idea who to contact specifically. And I'm not sure if there's any effort to track down the Cryptsy scammers. There was a thread about a lawsuit but I haven't been following it.

The best way to do this, is to gather evidence and present it in public to ruin those people and their reputation. You use the mainstream press, with leaked documentation. The authorities will follow up on these leads and they would lead the prosecution.
Violence never solved anything before, and if you do that, you are just as guilty as the person you targeted that violence at. ^hmmm^

I've seen hitman services in the deep web. Yes they claim they're professionals but on the side note, these may be just scammers who wants your BTCBTCBTC.
I doubt there are vigilantes lurking on the deep web. They don't need to. I heard bounty hunting is 'legal' in the US.

Bounty hunters yes but they bring people on the run back to the cops or court. Vigilante, to me, means extra-judicial justice. Street justice. That's a bit different.

Is Vern nowhere to be found? He is a pretty widely known person that has had many public appearances throughout the years, probably many know how to reach him and how to reach Cryptsy without requiring much investigation.
The question is also if someone's after the guy that hacked Satoshi's email, the one that threatened Roger Ver and the guy who used to do heavy DDOS on Bitcoin sites...
As for bounty hunters on darknet, I don't know if there are any, but I imagine there are.

So long you pay enough there are always people prepared to do the job. How bigger the reward how more change succeeding. Not that I support this jobs but if they hunt you this is not without reason.

Till there are "online courts" there won't be online bounty hunters, IMHO. Ancaps seem to think such things will arise because of "free markets", but then no one starts such arbitration services, proving that minarchism is really the only way it can work.
